The science of emotion is in the midst of a revolution on par with the discovery of relativity in physics and natural selection in biology. Leading the charge is psychologist and neuroscientist Lisa Feldman Barrett, whose research overturns the long-standing belief that emotions are automatic, universal, and hardwired in different brain regions. Instead, Barrett shows, we construct each instance of emotion through a unique interplay of brain, body, and culture.

Disappointed
I recently listened to the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and thought that this book, High Performance Habits, would be nice to listen to next. The former was much more insightful and valuable. The author of this book, who also narrated the book, came off as arrogant even though he wasn't trying to. It was like listening to hours and hours of bragging about all the rich and famous people he's met and talked to, and the millions of "students" (apparently every view count of his online videos counts as a student too) he's coached. I also simply don't like the subjective, self-reported nature of the "High Performance Indicator" he bases so many of his teachings on. If authors of other books on similar topics can come across in a much less arrogant way, there has got to be a better way that Brendon could have presented his information.
From the very beginning of the audiobook, I didn't like the author's narration. He took, unnatural pauses, like this. It was, hard, to listen to. It didn't feel comfortable listening to it.
As many have said, the author makes sales pitches again and again throughout the book. Rather than providing PDF documents with the audiobook, readers are asked to get resources from his website (the URL of which he mentions every few minutes, it feels). He urges readers to take the High Performance Indicator test on his website, and then bombards them day after day with emails to buy this, buy that, get this for free, take advantage of this limited time offer, etc. I unsubscribed to the emails after a couple days. It was really annoying and counter-effective. Let readers take their time to decide if/when they want to buy your products.
I am disappointed that this audiobook was not what I had hoped for.

A gem of a book!
Brendon has created a gem in his "High Performance Habits" book. so easy and pleasant to read and I've also listened to the Audible audio version #Audilble1 and its a joy to listen to Brendan's voice narrate his book personally. My hardcover book is full of highlights, dog eared pages, notes in margins and captured many lessons to which I've immediately put into practice. This is a book I'll want to reread and listen to again several times.

Too long introduction
I am an hour and half into this 10 hour audio book and the author keeps introducing how good the book is and all the greatness coming out of the book. Not sure how long I can keep this going. The entire 1 hour and 30 min can be summarized into 5 min. Total waste of time.
I give the benefit of doubt and will go for another 30 min. Not happy so far.

All you need to know on a happy & successful life in one book
I’ve coached a number of people on these principles and read a number of books from this field but no other book is so concise and resonated so well with me personally.
Brendon Burchard is boiling it down to the things that really matter in order to have a happy, joyful and successful life.
I also enjoyed him narrating his book like you would speak to someone rather than read to someone.
