Description

Tessa has everything to lose. Hardin has nothing to lose.... except her. After We Collided... Life will never be the same.

After a tumultuous beginning to their relationship, Tessa and Hardin were on the path to making things work. Tessa knew Hardin could be cruel, but when a bombshell revelation is dropped about the origins of their relationship - and Hardin’s mysterious past - Tessa is beside herself.

Hardin will always be... Hardin. But is he really the deep, thoughtful guy Tessa fell madly in love with despite his angry exterior - or has he been a stranger all along? She wishes she could walk away. It’s just not that easy. Not with the memory of passionate nights spent in his arms. His electric touch. His hungry kisses.

Still, Tessa’s not sure she can endure one more broken promise. She put so much on hold for Hardin - school, friends, her mom, a relationship with a guy who really loved her, and now possibly even a promising new career. She needs to move forward with her life.

Hardin knows he made a mistake, possibly the biggest one of his life. He’s not going down without a fight. But can he change? Will he change... for love?

Male narrator's performances

Elizabeth Louise could have done the whole book ,since we are use to her voice since book 1, and her HARDEN 's interpretation is really good ... all what i'm saying is Shane East has a very mature voice and it was unbearable when he try to pretend a 21 yrs old cool kid .. worst when he does Tessa... horrible actually ,
i'm not saying Shane is bad narrator ,he must be a very experienced professional in his line of work, he has good clear voice just that producers has made the wrong choice for Haden

Shane East!!!! Love this narrater!

Shane East literally makes Hardin come alive in this book! I confess I only bought the first book because of this narrator; but Anna Todd is a genius. I have never listened to (or read) a more intense series! I love me some bad boy Harden; and Shane East has without a doubt THE sexiest British accent ever!!!! I will buy anything Anna Todd writes! I will also buy anything Shane East narrates. Great book series!

Good book, not so good narration

I liked the male narration but the female was a bit grading. Good story so I was hooked. Would recommend.

Eye roll...

I liked the first one better...and that’s saying something because I didn’t really like the first one. Tessa is a doormat. I’ll probably still see the movie, though. I guess I like garbage.

Painful

I have about 3.5 hours left and I don't think I can get through it. These characters are just too much. It's the same thing over and over and over again. It never gets anywhere. Also this author needs to stop using the word LITERALLY all the time. Her hair was black, literally black. Sooo overused. Wish I could return the book.

Good storyline....not so great male narrator.

The female narrator could do this all on her own, and I believe it would be better. Good story line though.

Male narrator

I listen to the first book and really enjoyed it and the female narrator and got used to her voice. I started this book and when I heard the male narrator i hated his voice and I was upset it was very off putting and made me uncomfortable. I decided to read the book on actual paper instead because I couldn’t handle it.

Loved this one! Narration was good!

First, I listened to the audio and both narrators did a great job. I liked that they had a male narrator for Hardin’s chapters. I’d recommend it.

I really enjoyed this one! I was only slightly annoyed with the character’s actions. I gave the first book a 2 star, but I still wanted to see where the story goes. There’s still lots of unnecessary drama, but the depth of emotion between Tessa and Hardin really pulls me in. I find their connection engrossing. The problem is that these characters are young, so they are still learning. They make stupid decisions often, but I am seeing some growth in them. Tessa and Hardin have both had less than ideal childhood, so they haven’t had the best role models. They don’t know how to handle things, so when they fight they end up saying or doing the most messed thing to hurt the other person. Add in alcohol and jerk “friends” and you have people not thinking clearly.

We learn more about Hardin in this book, and he did some really terrible things. He does get away with too much, but it seems like he is realizing that if he keeps on that destructive path, he won’t have any good in his life. I really liked that we get some chapters in Hardin’s POV. They really show the depth of love he has for Tessa, and helps the reader understand some of his actions. Hardin does lots of sweet things for Tessa, and you tell how much he loves her.

Tessa gets too vindictive when she thinks Hardin has wronged her. They fight and sort of break up, and she just gloms onto the first guy she sees. Give it more than a week! Jeez. That’s what bothered me about her. If you love this guy so much, why in the heck are you kissing other guys so soon? I suppose it’s just immaturity and the desire not to be alone. She likes to egg on Hardin’s jealousy, which causes the bulk of the problems between the two.

They both need to just mature a lot. I see it slowly happening as the series goes. They’d probably be fine if they didn’t drink and go to stupid parties with horrible people. I don’t get why Tessa would still want to talk to these people. Also, Zed was part of the bet too, but Tessa seems to trust him for no apparent reason. She so stupid when it comes to him, and really puts herself in stupid positions. She just needs to feel wanted, but she needs to realize she needs to find a way to be okay being alone. Also, can we stop with the stupid dates to kiss other people! So lame. Just stop those games altogether.

There’s actually lots of sweet and cute things between Tessa and Hardin that I loved. The depth of passion and love they have is heart melting. There’s some hot scenes! It’s also Christmas time, so that added a tender, hopeful element to the story.

Overall, I loved this book so much more than the first because the characters are growing and I liked seeing more of Tessa and Hardin working to better for each other. They got into the relationship pretty fast, so they need to go back and build a more solid foundation.

It’s a beautiful story.

Highly frustrating

What would have made After We Collided better?

This book was way to long and the character of Tessa is not a likeable person ,she's a whinge and is very judgemental and amazing obtuse for a supposedly intelligent person

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I like the female narrator, however the male portrayal of the tess was not good and bought down the overall performance.

What character would you cut from After We Collided?

Ty and tess, it becomes extremely frustrating the back and forth fighting match between Hardin and Tessa and the frustration of ty thrown into the mix.

I have no idea how this series will end!!!

What about Shane East and Elizabeth Louise ’s performance did you like?

Both narrators did a great job. No complaints.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My stomach was in knots. I have no idea what is going to happen in book 3 and book 4 but I can't wait to find out.

Any additional comments?

I have no idea how this series will end and what will happen to this couple! The narrators did an amazing job. The switch in POVs happened at a great pace. The switch did not give away too much away and left enough intensity to feel everything. This was a roller coast ride, but is it wrong that even though my stomach was twisting and all the going back and forth between this couple was a complete mind (bleep) BUT I was loving it!!!

I am not saying that the characters were not driving me nuts with the fighting and the misunderstandings, etc., but that is what I love in my NA college stories.
