Worth the Time!

I found this story to be really good, in fact I will be reading the previous one (Finding Forever in Laguna). This author did a great job with her characters and the story seemed to flow endlessly. The narrator did a good job with both characters. This was my first book by this author but will definitely not be my last! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Finding Forever in Laguna

At Last in Laguna is the second book in Finding Forever in Laguna series by Claire Marti. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Marti, but I’m definitely going back and listening to the first book in this series. This book had me laughing out loud at times and then wanting to throw my phone across the room at others. The book flowed smoothly and the narration by Erin Bateman was spot on. Alyssa and Brandt both have problems but they have such chemistry. They just need to find a way to trust each other. This is a great book and I highly recommend the audio.

Last in Laguna Review...

Pretty good story that tried to bring in some social issues. Narrator needed to differentiate a little more between male/female characters. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Finding foever? No, felt like forever.

This storyline had the potential to be really good. It felt like the author was constantly throwing words up like "word vomiting". I blame her editor. Was anyone there to edit? "Alyssa Morgan has secretly been in love with her brother's best friend, Brandt Dempsey, for years. When she catches a wedding bouquet, she throws caution to the wind and propositions him to a fling." (YES! I want this story!!!!!) "After they kiss, Brandt tries to fight their chemistry." (more good ideas) "His tragic childhood scarred him, but he only shows the world a wealthy, carefree entrepreneur. Alyssa knows he's the one. Can she convince him they belong together?" Sounds like we have good 'bones' for an entertaining book! Narration was just okay. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review

Wonderful romance

Brant and Alyssa were raised on opposite sides of the tracks. Alyssa has been in love with Brandt for years. But, as Brandt’s best friends sister, he knows she’s off limits. This romance was delightful. Finding love can be so sweet. Laugh out loud moments make this couple seem real and likeable. The author did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. I highly recommend this audiobook. It is the first I’ve listened to by this author and it won’t be my last. I was gifted this audiobook at my request and am voluntarily reviewing.

Amazing Story

Do you judge a book by its cover? I absolutely loved the cover for At Last In Laguna. I took the leap of faith on a new to me Author and I am so glad I did.
At Last In Laguna is an amazing story about two individuals who have both had troubled pasts. Overcoming their fears might be an obstacle but definately one worth trying for.
The characters are loveable, the dialogue with eachother is perfect and believable, plus their inner dialogue adds a depth to the characters I never knew I was missing before.
I devoured this book in under 24 hours and cant wait to look up more books from Claire Marti.


I listened to an Audiobook version of this and found the narrator did an amazing job capturing and keeping your attention with her inflections. I would definately listen to more books from this narrator.

LOVE. How can a simple word cause such complicated emotions? Just when we think we have our hearts figured out, there's always more baggage tossed our way. At Last in Laguna takes a look at both sides of the coin. The enticing devil on the shoulder and the ever optimistic angel of the heart. Marti blends serious subjects with the overwhelming benefits of love. She finds hope where there almost seems to be none. Alyssa and Brandt have to decide if their powerful emotions are worth the heartbreaking trip down memory lane. There are pieces of Alyssa and Brandt in us all. The self-doubt, the fear of taking a chance and the hope that happiness is just around the corner. Within our flaws are our strengths. That is a point that Ms. Martini makes loud and clear.
