- Book #2: Gather Light — Poems of healing, joy, faith, and reclamation. Think recovery, community care, tenderness, and the everyday ways we choose life and love.
- Book #3: Rise Unbroken — Poems of resilience, resistance, and rebirth. Think endurance after loss, rebuilding, activism, ancestry, and the audacity to thrive.
- All poets are welcome, with a priority to uplift Black and Brown voices across the diaspora.
- Emerging and established writers.
- International submissions encouraged.
- One original poem per book (you may submit to both with separate emails), 200–300 words.
- One high-resolution author photo (JPG/PNG, 300 dpi, at least 2000 px on the longest side). Include photographer credit/permission if applicable.
- A short bio, 100 words or less, highlighting you and your brand. One link and one social handle allowed.

- Subject line: Echoes of Becoming – Book 2 (or Book 3) – Your Name
- Attachments: Poem as DOCX or PDF (title at top; your name and contact info on the first page), plus your high-res photo.
- In the email body: Your 100-word bio and a one-sentence statement of the book you’re targeting and how your poem aligns with its theme.

- Submission is free.
- Previously unpublished work is preferred. If previously published, include full credit and confirm you have reprint rights.
- Simultaneous submissions are welcome; notify us immediately if accepted elsewhere.
- If selected, you grant Aspiring Authors Magazine the right to publish your poem in the relevant Echoes of Becoming volume and to feature excerpts on our website/social channels; all other rights revert to you after publication.
- We do not publish work that promotes hate or discrimination. Mature themes are welcome when handled with care and consent.
