Publisher's Summary

The FBI veteran behind the Russia investigation draws on decades of experience hunting foreign agents in the United States to lay bare the threat posed by President Trump.

When he opened the FBI investigation into Russia’s election interference, Peter Strzok had already spent more than two decades defending the United States against foreign threats. His career in counterintelligence ended shortly thereafter, when the Trump administration used his private expression of political opinions to force him out of the Bureau in August 2018. But by that time, Strzok had seen more than enough to convince him that the commander in chief had fallen under the sway of America’s adversary in the Kremlin.

In Compromised, Strzok draws on lessons from a long career - from his role in the Russian illegals case that inspired The Americans to his service as lead FBI agent on the Mueller investigation - to construct a devastating account of foreign influence at the highest levels of our government. And he grapples with a question that should concern every US citizen: When a president appears to favor personal and Russian interests over those of our nation, has he become a national security threat?

Excellent description-real and honorable

An excellent story! This was a difficult time in the career of someone trying to do very precise and honorable work in an impossible circumstance. Peter Strzok and McCabe and Comey and the whole FBI must be commended on the drive, thoughtfulness, and determination they had to demonstrate integrity in a time of chaos, if not true evil

Fantastic.

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. I especially liked that Peter narrated throughout. I felt immersed, intrigued and have a better understanding, having listened to this incredibly detailed well-written book. Thank you Peter Strzok!

Fight of your lives!

The more I learn about how corrupt the US political system is the more I am glad I live in Canada.

30 days to go and to do everything you can to get Mr Cheeto out of your White House.

Clarified several some of the concerns about what happened .

While much of the information was already “out there”, the book puts things into perspective and provides more clarity as to why certain actions were taken.

Worthwhile

An interesting story that fills in gaps of the larger and bizarre narrative of the last few years in American history. This story is not complex, but is complicated simply by the body politic.

Not well written or read

This book was terribly simple and badly written. The topic is interesting but in this book, overly simplified.
That said,, tRump has caused chaos and drama due to his fragile ego. I’m glad he wasn’t re-elected but disappointed at how many voted for him thus illustrating the racism and stupidity that continues to exist in the USA.

DOJ 2021 has a lot of work to do

Scary. I've read enough books now to believe the investigation into trump must be reopened.
