Great science fiction but needs less womanizing.

I really like the writing and the overall story... but I have to fast forward through the "I admired her backside and then we made love" moments. It is very unrealistic to think every woman in the book would sleep with him, back and forth. These interactions are very awkward to listen to. He is NOT that guy... otherwise it is quite great.

Good story

Honestly the only thing that holds this entire series back, is the constant retelling of how McGill has slept with this person and that person and has special relations with this person in the past being said over and over again, and tired of all the her curvy body and fine lines and sexy. It's often enough that it is annoying. It happens way to often. For a series about space battles and coming back to life.

Otherwise this story is great, great pacing, great characters.

Fun and entertaining

Fun, fast paced and entertaining. Larson's character development is excellent. All the characters you love to hate are back along with all the good guys.
Mark Boyette does a fantastic job of narrating. I love that all his character voices are distinct.
This is an awesome series.

Keeps surprising

Just when I was expecting the series to devolve into some Mary Sue conventions, it picks up the pace. As much as a series about functionally immortal mercenaries can be described as Mary Sue. Larson keeps spinning out more interesting threads, and I think some of the characters have matured, finally. Boyett continues to do a great job with the narration.

Consistent quality

I have Listened to many B. V. Larson books and they do not tend to dissapoint. Death World is no exception and with my favourite narrator Mark Boyett at the helm, you simply cannot go wrong. Death World is a real adventure, it will keep you hooked right to the end.
The characters and the world they are in are brought to life with Larson's talent for knowing what his readers/listeners need to know and what they do not, you quickly become immersed in the emotions, actions, choices, life experiences and current situational reality of the characters.
Yes, this is another Sci Fi story, it is however executed far better than many others. B. V, Larson has written a staggering number of books and I have enoyed about a dozen of them, its really quite imprressive how Larson keeps the quality and passion so high in so many books, but he does and he should be applauded for his consistent high quality of story writing.
Larson's quality writing along the perfect choice of narrator makes these books a must. I have Listened to many B. V. Larson books and they do not tend to dissapoint. Death World is no exception and with my favourite narrator Mark Boyett at the helm, you simply cannot go wrong. #Audible1

With the combination of Larson's talent, understanding of the human condition both in reality and in fiction, passion and endless fountain of detailed and creative ideas, coupled with the perfect narrator choice every time, these books are a must!
