Description

Here, Buckminster Fuller takes on the gigantic corporate megaliths that exert increasing control over every aspect of daily life. In the form of a modern allegory, he traces the evolution of these multinational giants from the post-World War II military-industrial complex to the current army of abstract legal entities known as the corporate world. GRUNCH stands for Gross Universal Cash Heist.

Bad narrator for a complex book

It is a really complex book that you need to pay attention to understand the though process. But the narrator seems to not understand a word of what he is reading, so it's like a Robot reading it. whick make harder to pay attention and understand the thoughts of the book. I had to listen to it twice in a row to absorb better, because of the narration... but, besides that, an ok book.

Sounds like a robot is narrating

This guy throws around a lot of big words but offers little more than platitudes. A very big disappointment. The narration is terrible.

All this warnings knowledge & nothing ever changes

Absolutely love this book,!
After all these years that people trying to warn the public, it's a little disheartening and sad that even with all these warnings and all these technological advancements were still a slave to the monetary FIAT system and nothing ever changes when it comes to Giants rain of control.

Divide and Conquer!!! This is how the Giants keep control!!!
it's so sad that the humanity is so self-absorbed that the people who are trying to blow the whistle on the Injustice in the world get labelled as crazy "Conspiracy theorist" LOL and lunatics.

The DaVinci curse!
Being able to see the facade of lies for what it is, well majority of everybody else still believing the LIE!!!

when smart people speak it is best to listen

I'm a firm believer that anything whose message holds up over the course of time should be reread and shared, this is one of those books. A very distinguished life or a lot was done to positively impact the world that you live in today his thoughts are deep and a bit mind boggling but well worth engaging with

strap yourself in

Fantastic book, but could benefit from being a little more "haiku" than essay. Fuller writes words as if they are variable equations. He strings 10 adjectives together in the same sentence. Lucky for me I have spent alot of time around people who are brilliant, but struggle to communicate it. Overall the book was definitely worth it.

Nice text, unbearable listening

The book by itself seemed good. But the reading seems performed by a reading robot almost-impossible-to-cope-with-the-word-silence-word intonation!!!! very bad audio.

So many run-on sentences it’s hard to follow

Just waiting for the author to make his points is painful. The unnecessarily conjoined words also don’t help to communicate the ideas.

Too Complicated

This is a very hard read. Way too complicated for the average reader. This was highly regarded from a different author and has some good examples, but I feel like I need a PhD to understand it.

EXCELLENT information!

The book was a little too technical for me, although I was intrigued with the information. That is why I was persistent in completing it.

Excellently written, concise view of the world today and yesterday

This book is a concise and to the point synopsis of R. Buckminster Fuller’s view and take regarding life on planet Earth. Andrew Heyl does a wonderful job of narrating a rather complexly written book - kudos Mr. Heyl.

Great information, terrible intonation of reading

This was the hardest audiobook to follow primarily because of the mono-toned reading. There was very little inflection of the voice as if there is no punctuation. I did my best to just listen to the words but it was VERY painful.

I really don't know what he's talking about

I really have no idea what he's talking about The entire book is so over the top all over the place It's just too much That's probably why it's free Don't get me wrong I know it's highly intellectual beyond any scope of understanding that I have but who is it for What is it for What did it do this book changed the world so hard to follow that was just frustrating and it's entirety and it's a loss for me I wish I was a smarter good day
