Outstanding in every way

If Dr. Seuss had written a book for older children it would have had this rhythmic, lyrical mastery. Rushdie’s word choice makes use of sound in a playful way. The book is always fun and entertaining. It also incorporates depth psychology. His profound wisdom about the shadow is beautifully accessible. It includes great characters, politics, the nature of consciousness, and it sparkles with imagination. In short, it’s magical!! The audible performance is also fantastic. This book is one children and adults will both love to hear again and again.
