It’s the 5th book, you know what you’re getting and I love it.
It’s more of what you love about the series, hoping we move back to the other world soon though. Missing the crew over there.
Heath Miller’s performance in this book got me a promotion at work, cooked me a steak dinner, cured my grandma’s arthritis, and changed my foundational understanding of how I view the universe.

I love this series.
This series has become very important to me, I look forward to the next book more than I would have ever thought. I never really understood when people become deeply involved in fictional characters but this storyline is that for me. Thanks to the author for this.

I found the third to tell ability descriptions way to much im glad they cut that down book 4 felt like it literally didn't go anywhere but I'm glad there finally moving the story along I was happy with how this book played out in comparison to 4

Best one yet.
Very entertaining and action packed without the overwhelming number of skill set descriptions presented in the last couple of books.
Heath truly knocked it out of the park with his narration/voice acting this time. He has mastered his craft, sharpened his skills, as he has progressed through the series. To my shame I didn't really notice the effect this was having upon my enjoyment of the content until over half way through this book. The Shirtaloon and Heath make an amazing team. I pre-purchased book 6. I can't wait!!!

Fun as usual, but feels incomplete
This one felt a little like the scope of the story got too big and unfocused. It's so heavy on describing all the politics and less on the journey of Jason. I didn't dislike it, but it's definitely missing some of the flavour of the first few. The world building, exploring the unknown lands and strange creatures while collecting cool items and loot.. like why isn't he looting the gold rank vamps? Where is the climax of the story? The end was very anticlimactic.
