Publisher's Summary

She's about to make a deal with the college bad boy....

Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she's carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush's attention, she'll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice, even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

...And it's going to be oh so good.

All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he's worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he's all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn't take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn't going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

Really good ! Loved it !

Le livre audio conjointement avec le livre en main fait de cette lecture un moment super divertissant. J’ai adoré, je vais définitivement aller chercher the mistake ♥️

Love this book

I loved this book so much!! My favourite one from Elle Kennedy so far! But the woman’s voice was so distracting. She sounds like she’s a 60 year old woman. Not the right voice for this book! The mans voice was perfect!

I tough that this book was so sweet that subconsciously i guess I manifested a hockey player, they're really terrible people, I really recommend anyone to fall in love with them.

Male Narrator Saves It

I read this book first, and I was excited to listen to a duet narration. I should have sampled it first. The female narrator is terrible. Why her? She sounds nothing like how I imagined Hannah, and honestly, she sounds nothing like a 20-year-old college student. She sounds like a 50-year-old kindergarten teacher. The narration is monotone and some of her line deliveries are so unnatural and awkward. Also she made Allie sound like a bimbo. Frustrating to say the least. The male narrator, on the other hand, is fantastic. One of the best I’ve heard, and I found myself wishing he was narrating the whole book. I sped through the Hannah chapters so I could get to his chapters. I definitely won’t be downloading the other Briar U books if the female narrator is doing them. Super disappointing.

Woman’s voice is terrible for this book.

I KNOW the story is going to be amazing but I’m fighting to get through the woman’s chapters. She sounds much older than the character and she is so “one toned” it nearly puts you to sleep. Can they please re-do this with a better woman reader?

Not a bad book

I had mixed feelings about this story.
Story was a 5 star. Really great story.
Narration was 50/50. Christian Fox in my opinion has a sexy voice. Lorelei Avalon not so much. Her voice is slow and boring. I had to speed it up to 1.2 to make her voice bearable.
Hannah’s character bugged me at first she was a snobby bitch. She gets better halfway through.
Bought this on sale so it was worth it.

Amazing story, decent voices

I binged this audiobook. Started it at 11pm and didn't fall asleep till 2am... finished in less then 24 hours. The female voice is decent, but a bit too "old" and the males is a better age sound, but I cannot stand when he does the female sides. haha All in all very happy and will continue the series.

More Than a Deal

The Deal is the first book in Elle Kennedy’s Off-Campus series. The hero Garrett is the Captain of the Briar College hockey team who needs help with Ethics to keep up his GPA in order to stay on the team. Hannah is acing the Ethics class and needs Garrett’s help to attract the attention of the guy she has a crush on. So, the deal is truck for each to help the other. Unexpectedly along the way, they fall for each other.

Hannah and Garrett are very well written characters who both have things that happen in their past that govern their actions and attitudes in the present. Their love story is sweet and heartwarming. Which are the things that I loved about this book. It was nice to see the jock be the one to do the chasing and the first to fall given that he had all sorts of women throwing themselves at him.

The narrators were ok, they didn’t always do the best job when speaking for another character, but they weren’t horrible by any means. It was the story that made this enjoyable for me and the reason I will continue on with the series.

Trigger warning:
- the book talks about rape and abuse (child and spouse)

Good story

it's a great book and story. the female narrator is not great, her monotone voice didn't match how Hannah sounds in my head so it was a bit grating. the male narrator is fantastic though. but the plot is fun, romantic and a good read.

Great story

Loved this story when I read it so had to get the audio, however, the female narrator is meh. I had to listen at 1.2x because I found her too slow and felt overall it was just off for the character. The male narrator did a good job and made it worth listening to.
