Publisher's Summary

The fifth novel in the number one New York Times best-selling series

When Branson, Missouri, is hit with a death wave - four unsolved murders - it doesn't take an expert to realize that all is not well. But luckily for the locals, Anita Blake is an expert in the kinds of preternatural goings-on that have everyone spooked. And she's got an "in" with the creature that can make sense of the slayings - the sexy master vampire known as Jean-Claude.

Returning to an old favorite

I read this series when I was much younger, I have a greater appreciation for them now. Anita is a character I always thought to be super bad ass and cool as hell when I was an impressionable teen. Reading the series as an adult gives me a broader perspective, restarting from the beginning shows me how much I missed on my first read through.
Vampires, werewolves, love triangles and more than a dash of blood. Highly reccomend this series to any supernatural/ghoulie lover as a must have in your collection
