I love twilight, I'll listen over and over and read it, just the voice actress, it doesn't suit Bella's character

Not Something I Would Waste Money On
I Read this one out of pure curiosity. What would it be like if the gender roles had switched for the twilight plot aka “Reimagined” but I don’t have to much positive to say. After reading the book I sadly have to say that switching the genders just didn't work out very well for me.
Plot
I noticed that most scenes that took place in the book are exactly the same. Scenes that may have been only slightly awkward in the original, suddenly became glaringly awkward in the re-imagining. I had a hard time getting the original pictures of Bella and Edward out of my head and imagine them as their male or female version. Same thing goes for the Cullens and Bella's/Beau's school friends. What’s up with those ugly as names? And I’m very sorry if you’re named like one of these characters but Edward > Edythe? Rosalie > Royal? Alice > Archie? Esme > Ernest? And, wait for it: Carlisle > Carine. And don’t get me started with Tyler > Taylor. Wow, Stephenie, just wow. Out of ALL the names in the world these were chosen.
Edythe
Edythe seemed to be a giant stereotype. She was constantly worrying about Beau and his “Fragile” life. She seemed to appear so tough and honestly bipolar.
Beau
So beau’s character didn’t work for me. I felt as though I wasn’t 100% convinced that I wasn’t reading from Bella’s point of view in the original book. One thing that I really got tired of hearing how perfect and beautiful Edythe was to Beau. Like yeah we get it shes pretty but when I hear it for probably 50 pages added up it was so annoying. I had to keep stopping and say to myself “This isn’t a girl acting this way its a guy” I didn't feel like Beau's inner monologue was different from Bella's. I wasn't expecting huge changes, but I definitely didn't expect what it was. I will say that Beau seemed to be a lot looser and humorous than Bella at times.
The Ending
What can I say about the ending without giving a lot away? Um…..Didn’t work for me! It was as though the characters didn’t have empathy or emotions when I read the last chapter/Epilogue. To me it just didn’t fit.
Overall
I think I'm disappointed with this book because I expected it to be a different story, with new, different characters that weren't going to be like the original. Instead I got words changed or some pronouns added to make it seem like a “different” story. Not what I was looking forward to. I’ll end this review with thank the lord I didn’t pay for the physical book. I’d advice people to not waste their money on this book.
