Not my kind of book
This silly story was made much better by the narration. She did a convincing job of a number of voices with varying English accents. The storyline is simple and not particularly engaging. There is no real tension or complexity but as a bubble gum listen sort of entertaining.

Delightful and entertaining
The narrator was absolutely charming, delightful and entertaining. This wonderful witty book made me feel like a schoolgirl again giggling in the dorm with my friend Valerie. With everything that is going on in the world at the moment I sure need it to escape and this book did it for me
To my delight there are more books written by this wonderful author. I read this book or rather listens to it over the course of a weekend or should I say a Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The performance by which all others will be judged!
Plus que l’histoire en soi, l’extraordinaire performance de Katherine Kellgren à la narration fait de ce livre le meilleur divertissement audio que j’aie écouté ! Loin de se contenter de simplement faire la lecture du texte, c’est à une véritable performance théâtrale que nous convie Madame Kellgren. Plusieurs narrateurs d’Audible, dont certains Québécois, auraient avantage à faire l’écoute de ce livre avant de se lancer. À compter d’aujourd’hui, c’est à cette performance que je comparerai toute les autres !

terrific narration
The story is a very nice mix of intrigue and humor. The story is brought to life by the exceptional narration. You could hear who was speaking by the tone and accent...over a dozen unique and distinctive accents. This brought the book to life and in a flash, it's over. Very enjoyable.

Katherine Kellgren is gem
this is a delightful cozy mystery. it's the first in a series by Rhys Bowen and is perfect as a beat read, or when you're curled up in your favorite chair wrapped in a warm blanket with a nice cup of tea. the story is delightful it is a wonderful window into the very upper classes of British Society in 1932. Our heroine Lady Georgiana is lovely, funny, smart, but not too smart, let's face it she is a plucky, Bright Young Thing in the best sense of the word. I'm very much looking forward to listening to more of this series, especially if the books are narrated by Katherine Kellgren who is a deliciously funny, bright voiced narrator with a real talent for accents, her upper class accent can literally cut crystal.

I love The characters in this entire series, and the narration by Katherine Kellegren is perfect!

Very enjoyable mystery
