Her unusual journey to a personal relationship with God turned her world upside down - and put her life in danger - as a series of strange dreams launched her on a quest that would forever consume her heart, mind, and soul.

Originally published in 1978, the book has sold 300,000 copies and is a classic in Muslim evangelism.

Bilquis Sheikh came from a family in Pakistan that held government power for seven hundred years. She was also the wife of a high ranking government official in Pakistan. She gave her life to Jesus Christ in 1966. In 1972, sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, she resettled in the United States, where she spoke widely and shared her faith with many. Years later she returned to Pakistan, where she died in 1997. She was given a Christian funeral.

Great read for believers feeling discouraged.

I found this book super encouraging and inspiring! I was reminded of the power of prayer and simple faith. I love that Bilquis simply took God at His Word and sought His strength to walk in faith. So beautiful. This is also an encouraging read for those involved in spreading the Gospel (which should be all of us as believers!) that even when we cannot see the 'results' of our labour and prayer, the Lord is working and moving - even through dreams! I wouldn't say it's perfect theologically (mainly the baptism part - but she acknowledges that herself!) but overall a very good read/listen.

Spiritually Encouraging

I couldn’t stop listening! I looked forward to every time, as I would be encouraged and challenged in my own faith in God. The story was worded very elaborate and I found myself picturing everything. I would highly recommend this story.
