Publisher's Summary

He's back! The long-awaited return of the most exciting new commercial fantasy writer of the 21st century.

After their adventures on the high seas, Locke and Jean are brought back to earth with a thump. Jean is mourning the loss of his lover and Locke must live with the fallout of crossing the all-powerful magical assassins, the Bonds Magi. It is a fallout that will pit both men against Locke's own long-lost love.

Sabetha is Locke's childhood sweetheart, the love of Locke's life, and now it is time for them to meet again. Employed on different sides of a vicious dispute between factions of the Bonds, Sabetha has just one goal: to destroy Locke forever.

The Gentleman Bastard sequence has become a literary sensation in fantasy circles and now, with the third book, Scott Lynch is set to seal that success.

I felt a little disappointed at the end.

The good:
-The performance was SPECTACULAR.
- Loved the dual plot lines
The not so good:
- I feel like it was missing something. Maybe it was a lack of character development? 🧐

Still worth the listen if you read the previous books!

book 3 of gentlemen bastards

lovely heist story. A delightful deceptive theiving roller coaster. I've now read up to book 3, and after this one I will continue with the series.

Set Up for the Rest of the Series

It’s definitely a set up for future novels. On it’s own it’s okay. Doesn’t have the same heist themes of the first two novels.

A Sad Ending to the King of Thieves

Scott Lynch knows how to tell a great story. The premise was simple and knew how to play with your heart strings. Locke Lamora is the best villian to make you smile and doubt that good is any different from bad. Evil is appealing to listen and dream to with a voice like Michael Page. Keep stealing Locke Lamora

Best series in a long long time for me.

I cried. I laughed so many times. The reader is skilled and I was totally immersed.
