Prayer combines the best of Tozer on prayer into one volume. Tozer was captured by the great wonder of God, and he regarded prayer as the primary means of coming into his presence. But if our everyday life is filled with the barrenness of busyness and there is no serious urgency to pray, we forfeit the wonder of being conformed to the image of Christ and knowing our God more intimately - the true Christian life.

To have found God and still to pursue Him is a paradox of love, scorned indeed by the too-easily-satisfied religious person, but justified in happy experience by the children of the burning heart. Saint Bernard of Clairvaux stated this holy paradox in a musical four-line poem.

Histoire
For 300 years, The Pilgrim's Progress has remained perhaps the best-loved and most read of devotional fictions. In plain yet powerful and moving language, Bunyan tells the story of Christian's struggle to attain salvation and the Gates of Heaven. He must pass through the Slough of Despond, ward off the temptations of Vanity Fair, and fight the monstrous Apollyon. In Part II, his wife and children follow the same path, helped and protected by Great-heart, until for them, too, "the trumpets sound on the other side."

Description
"Behold I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20)
At the hidden center of man's being is the dwelling place of the triune God. It is such a private, intimate place that no one can intrude but Christ, and even he will enter only through an invitation of faith. Once the Spirit enters the core of the believer's heart and establishes residence there, man becomes a true child of God. But baptism, confirmation, receiving the sacraments, church membership, etc., mean nothing unless God has truly inhabited the soul.
In Man - the Dwelling Place of God, Tozer reveals what it truly means to have Christ within us - like leaving your old life behind, understanding the Bible, making godly choices, loving God for himself, Christian fellowship, and more.

Amen
Delicious book. I felt what was said. If anyone has any idea how to make himself used more for God, this book will awaken him. Every last drop was scrumptious. Eat and be filled with the LORD. Amen.

Timeless Christian Literature
"Nothing that comes of God will minister to my pride or self-congratulation."
Sentences like this and many more that leave you wanting to go deeper. If you take your time to listen and understand this could lead to a personal Christian revival for the reader. It did for me.

Excellent
This is not for everyone. I would be the first to admit that point. However it is sound, well-defended, and presented in a manner that few books have done. It discusses the sensitive issues surrounding todays concepts of following Jesus Christ but exposes our shortcomings in the realm of total obedience. You will just have to read for yourself and you too can come to a conclusion wherever you are.

Who Am I without HIM?
People are searching for themselves looking to find themselves. Find G-d he knows who you are. This book by Tozer moved me into a deeper walk with G-d. He made us for a relationship and to have relationships. We are here because the first group (angels) denied him and were asked to leave, with the insistence on seeing this SON G-d talked so much about forcing the making of man. Seeing, after all for many, is believing. Blessed are those who have not seen and believe. ~ Jesus
