Publisher's Summary

Joe Dispenza, DC, has spent decades studying the human mind - how it works, how it stores information, and why it perpetuates the same behavioral patterns over and over. In the acclaimed film What the Bleep Do We Know!?, he began to explain how the brain evolves - by learning new skills, developing the ability to concentrate in the midst of chaos, and even healing the body and the psyche. Evolve Your Brain presents this information in depth, while helping you take control of your mind, explaining how thoughts can create chemical reactions that keep you addicted to patterns and feelings - including ones that make you unhappy. And when you know how these bad habits are created, it's possible to not only break these patterns, but also reprogram and evolve your brain, so that new, positive, and beneficial habits can take over.

Interesting but moderately accessible

Although very interesting and well narrated, it goes a bit deep into biology. I found it hard to stay focused when the author lingered at cellular level and beyond. May be more accessible to readers with some kind of basic scientific/academic background. Only in small doses for me.

Genius!!!

This book intertwines science and spirit. Sean Runnette has done an amazing job at narrating-from start to finish!

Author has little knowledge of the topic

The only similarity between this book and science is the words they use.The frequency of factual errors in the actual content was such that I had no faith in the author past the 2nd hour. If this book has helped you, that is wonderful and please don't let this review change your thoughts about this book, but if you are like me, have even a slight amount of knowledge in the fields of physics, psychology or biology, and need to trust an author to get any benefit out of their reccomendations, this book is not for you.

Joe is not a neuroscientist by training, he is a chiropractor, and it shows in the content of the book. While I am sure he is knowledgeable about many things, the functioning of the brain is not one of them.

How the brain works!

This book is the greatest source of knowledge about the humain brain out there so far. Explain how the chemical imbalance of your brain might be the sources of most of our problems. Long but it open some many new possibilities.

Pour les gens qui ont soif d'informations sur le cerveau... wow!

A very interesting material about brain, emotions

The book discussed the latest brain research results based on quantum physics. There are a lot of useful collaborative materials, examples that confirm the human brain abilities to develop itself in any direction and even to change itself completely. And the brain activity is able to change our genes, body, life and everything around us.
There are described the ways how to use neuroplasticity to teach the brain to do amazing things according to our wishes and purposes.
The book would be very interesting for you if you want to know how to be the best of yourself!

Hugely disappointed

I didn’t realize until the second chapter that this was some pseudoscience nonsense. This guy is a chiropractor, not a neuroscientist! What a waste of an Audible credit.

Quackery

I could not make it past the 3rd chapter because this author seems like a complete quack. So glad Audible allows you to do returns!

Please listen to this with a critical ear

The author has some good points, but he also suggests that techniques in mindfulness can reverse terminal illness and serious injury, and I feel some of these ideas to be dangerous.
