Publisher's Summary

Harry Bosch searches for the truth in the new thriller from number one NYT best-selling author Michael Connelly.

Harry Bosch, exiled from the LAPD, is working cold cases for the San Fernando Police Department when all hands are called out to a local drugstore, where two pharmacists have been murdered in a robbery. Bosch and the tiny town's three-person detective squad sift through the clues, which lead into the dangerous, big-business world of prescription drug abuse. To get to the people at the top, Bosch must risk everything and go undercover in the shadowy world of organized pill mills.

Meanwhile, an old case from Bosch's days with the LAPD comes back to haunt him when a long-imprisoned killer claims Harry framed him and seems to have new evidence to prove it. Bosch left the LAPD on bad terms, so his former colleagues are not keen on protecting his reputation. But if this conviction is overturned, every case Bosch ever worked will be called into question. As usual, he must fend for himself as he tries to clear his name and keep a clever killer in prison.

The two cases wind around each other like strands of barbed wire. Along the way, Bosch discovers that there are two kinds of truth: The kind that sets you free and the kind that leaves you buried in darkness.

Tense, fast-paced, and fueled by this legendary detective's unrelenting sense of mission, Two Kinds of Truth is proof positive that "Connelly writes cops better than anyone else in the business" (New York Post).

What the critics say

"Narrator Titus Welliver portrays Detective Harry Bosch in the latest installment of this longstanding series.... In a gravelly and sometimes growling voice, Welliver lets Bosch's indignation shine when the facts are revealed and takes on a softer and loving tone when Bosch deals with friends and family. Fans will love the climax and the promise of more Harry Bosch and, one hopes, more Welliver." (AudioFile)

I always feel grateful for some reason .

Grateful and aware. The secret of any book is only revealed when you feel truly altered by the reading experience

Perhaps this will make sense to a few and will encourage you to want to explore the world of H. B.

Solid Bosch story

Solid storyline. Definitely well within the formula, but has enough wrinkles to make it interesting for those who've read all the Bosch stuff. Would have liked the Russian sub plot to be a little deeper, and the guy out the plane was never explained.

Always on Point

Love the detective work on this one and again Bosch’s motto of “Everyone matters or no one matters.”

Aging has its wonders

I have listened and read almost every book Michael Connelly has written. My favourites are those who include Micky Haller. 1992 the beginning…. He has kept me interested because of the authors ability to move with the time of change. His maturity with his writing has kept me looking for his books all these years. I hope you will continue although I know Bosch is getting old and impossible for his character to continue but I am confident you will find a modern character to follow in his footsteps. Maybe his daughter or Mickey’s daughter will carry on their pasts

Great Narrator

Titus Welliver encompasses the character of Bosch. When I started watching the TV series I wasn’t sure I’d like him as Bosch....but I quickly lay changed my mind. Perfect for the series role and as the narrator.

Another Bosch story from M. Connelly

Michael Connelly continues to put out stories that interests the reader/listener from beginning to end. This is one of those stories. The narration by Titus Welliver does justice to all characters, especially Bosch.

Typical "Bosch" Story with Engaging Narration

I have read and listened to a couple of Bosch stories and have enjoyed the narration and the story. I'll most likely listen again.

Hardly 10minutes in

I’ve barely listened to the book so I really can’t comment on the story but the narrators voice sounds so robotic!
It’s like a slightly better and male version of the original Siri on apple computers at school. Like 1996 version.
