Dear Listeners,
I was having trouble getting to sleep at night. Instead of counting sheep, I found myself counting people going up a mountain to see a holy man. Each night, semiconscious, I came to know this holy man and the pilgrims.
My insomnia problem was solved. Now I had a story to write. I wrote it quickly, although years later, when asked how long it took to write, I said 50 years, which was also true.
Recently the Dalai Lama said, 'You don't have to believe in God to be a kind and compassionate person.' Joe, our man on the mountaintop, would agree.

Decent story, easy listening
The story is interesting, found it a bit difficult to listen to with the background noises, such as the birds or wind. If you're bored and need an easy listen....

More than I had expected!!!
This story was beautifully written, narrated and produced!
I feel that I really knew Joe and all of those who surrounded him.
I could see myself in the line waiting in anticipation to have the
honour of his presence. Amazing!!!!!!

Really good! Could not stop listening.
I loved listening to this book. The characters and storyline were so touching to my heart.
I keep repeating some of the most moving insights shard in this book. For example, every one is Holy. It’s helps get through the strong emotions when they show up.

Absolutely brilliant!
A must read for everyone, regardless of preferred genre/content.
I found this to be almost an even more modern version of The Alchemist. Highly recommend!
