Description

These Royals will ruin you.

Easton Royal has it all: looks, money, intelligence. His goal in life is to have as much fun as possible. He never thinks about the consequences because he doesn’t have to.

Until Hartley Wright appears, shaking up his easy life. She’s the one girl who’s said no, despite being attracted to him. Easton can’t figure her out and that makes her all the more irresistible.

Hartley doesn’t want him. She says he needs to grow up.

She might be right.

Rivals. Rules. Regrets. For the first time in Easton’s life, wearing a Royal crown isn’t enough. He’s about to learn that the higher you start, the harder you fall.

Not a Complete Story

My major complaint is that you only get part of the book, not a full story, so have book 5 on hand.
I could say this is a cliffhanger, but there's a big difference between a closing cliffhanger and having absolutely zero resolution to any part of the story, which is what this book does.

Other than that, it's similar to the first three, though with more contained drama. It's on that same wild thread, just much tamer.

I honestly think the last two books should have been one book, and the ending of this story should have been the midpoint of the book. That would have made a lot more sense, and some of the unnecessary excess could have been cut.

Better than the first 3

For some reason, I think I liked this book better then the first 3. I find Easton a bit more interesting. It’s been a long stretch between book 3 and 4 for me, only because after reading the first 3, I was “meh”. I didn’t feel like continuing. But its the end of the year and I wanted to up my “Read” count quickly. And this fit the bill AND it became available on audio as well. Easy read for my commute to work.

Not a lot goes on in the first half or so. Easton is pursuing Hartley and she wants nothing to do with him. Easton cannot understand how anyone could resist him, ‘cause everybody wants him. “You are nothing but trouble, Easton”, and he is. What I like about THIS story vs the previous 3, is the “entitlement” and selfish nature of Easton and how Hartley calls him on it. Easton berates the girls of Aster for being entitled bitches, but what about him? Everything Easton does is for Easton, not anyone else. Easton begins to think about this but still makes stupid selfish decisions that hurt others. By the end of the book, we have a cliff hanger. I can guess what happens next, as I’ve read enough of this genre to see the freight train coming, but I’ll dive into book 5. I need to see how this turns out.

A great series but personally not my favorite

I was a bit disappointed because I preordered this book and the next too because I was so excited to keep listening and checked constantly in with audible but it just didn't have the same effect that the story had with the previous books:(?
However it is still a good book and FANTASTIC narration which is most certainly worth a credit:)

Love Easton!

Wow this was incredible! I loved getting a deeper glimpse into Easton. The answers to why he feels so tortured. Obviously meeting Hartley has been Easton's biggest challenge but ultimately best reward. I can't wait to find out what happens in Crack Kingdom after that unbelievable cliff hanger!!!

Fallen Heir

Jesus, this cliffhanger is not cool. I went from hating Easton and his dumb decisions to something else completely. I don't even know how to rate this without being influenced from it. These kids are evil and I hate it. Loved Hartley though, sucks how much her young self has been through.

Good humor with a lot of frustrating instances.

Love the Royals!

I have loved the Royals since book 1.. But Reed and Ella's story aside, East has been my favorite. His inner dialog has been both amusing and gives us great insight to why he is the way he is.

Zachary Webber is one of my favorite narrators and I think he really helped bring East to life. Onto the next one!

Royale the best series ever

I started this series and can tell you that it is by far the best one out there. Each book is a royal treat. The characters are genuine and the storylines are fresh once you start you can’t stop There are many twists and turn in the plot and it certainly keeps you guessing if you want a great summer read this series is it

There is no ending (the story just stops)

I didn't care for this book: Easton was a jerk, and almost all the characters were completely out of control and unlikable. I sped through the second half of this book (listening at triple - speed) because I was curious to see how the author wrapped everything up, but when i got to the last chapter, I found.....nothing. There wasn't even an attempt at resolution. It felt like one of those old radio programs where you're at the top of the story arc (at a climax), and they say "come back next week," or in this case, buy the next book, to find out what happened. Had I known that was how the story would end, I'd have put the book down a long time ago.

Not as good as the first ones in the series

Not as good as the first ones in the series but good for carrying on the story I suppose.
