Description

How to protect your heart:
Let your bodyguard have it.

Jane Cobalt is an American princess. The loyal and painfully curious 23-year-old has inherited immense pressure to preserve the Cobalt legacy. But for Jane, sex, love, and life have been a series of royal failures.

After a friends-with-benefits ended in disaster, she's sworn to a "no sex" hiatus for, well, eternity - and she has no intention of letting anyone in her bed and definitely not her heart.

Twenty-eight-year-old Thatcher Moretti is painfully professional. As the stern 24/7 bodyguard to Jane, thinking about unbridled sex with his sweet client is a sin. One that he keeps committing.

But the real act is a hard line he'd never cross.

When a family member betrays Jane's trust, the media becomes obsessed with matchmaking the perpetually "single" Jane Cobalt and unwanted attention suddenly compromises her safety.

Thatcher would do anything to protect her, and one solution may level the threats: Become the fake boyfriend to an American princess.

Entwined together with boiling chemistry, new "professional" parameters, and an oath, unsaid feelings threaten to rise and change everything.

5 Stars over and over!!

I don’t write many reviews - not because I don’t have an opinion about the book, but because I can never find the right words to describe the feeling I have after listening to a book like this. I may be a little biased because I’ve read every single book by Krista and Becca Ritchie and I’m obsessed with their writing style, but they deserve all the 5 star reviews in the world for continuing this series and giving their readers exactly what we were hoping for for Jane and Thatcher. This is my first listen by Holly Warren, but she did not disappoint! Also, if you’ve ever listened to anything by Stephen Dexter, you know exactly how brilliant he is and he will make you will feel EVERY. SINGLE. EMOTION!! If you’re still interested in this story, I suggest you go back and start with, “Addicted to You” and go through the entire series before listening to this. I promise you won’t be disappointed!!!

Very difficult to get engaged

This book just really seemed to drag. No real excitement. Gave up after 3 hrs.

Few of the secondary plotlines are frustrating

2.5 🌟 Stars
Review of the Kindle and Audible versions.

I almost DNF Tangled Like Us and that makes me Sad and Mad.

Sad because I've invested my time and money in the Like Us Series. I bought the Audible and Kindle version of Books 1, 2, 3 and 4. And I enjoyed and was entertained by the first 3 tales.

Mad because few of the secondary plotlines are beyond annoying and off putting.
❇ Tony's plotline is ridiculous and so over the top is frustrating .
❇ The leadership unbelievable reactions, manipulation and inability to see the obvious is a plotline that dumb the story out.
❇ Jane is written so meek. She accepts all what the leadership of the bodyguard say. She is the client . She is supposed to be an Alpha . But this plotline makes her pathetic and weak.

After having Maximoff and Farrow fighting to be together , the decision to portray Jane so indecisive and a pushover killed this book for me.

So, why , you might ask , did I continue reading/ listening to the 15 hours and 38 minutes that is Tangled Like Us after being so aggravated ?

Well, I might be a MASOCHIST .

But I am not .

I did like Thatcher and Jane as a couple and their sexy times were hot . I enjoyed that a lot.

As I said earlier, I have invested heavily in The Like Us Series but I don't know if I got what it takes to continue reading more of these storylines.

Book 5 is the continuation of Thatcher and Jane and Book 6 , I think is Farrow and Maximoff or maybe is Oscar and Jack's book. It's likely that I might skip 5 and read 6 and 7 ...we'll see.

As for Holy Warren and Stephen Dexter , their narration was the highlight of the entire book experience. And their portrayal of Jane and Thatcher gets a 5 stars rating.

Fake Boyfriend Trope!! Love it!

This was the 4th book in the Like Us series. I loved the first three: MM and OTT (in a way that really worked for me).

This one continued the theme of the celebrity family and their bodyguards, but it focused on an MF couple: Jane and Thatcher. The next book will continue their story and then we’ll get Maximoff and Farrow back. If you only read MF and try this as a standalone you will be very confused. On the other hand, if you read MM and read the first three books, Moffy and Farrow play prominent roles in here and you get to see the changing dynamic of the Tri-Force teams and new threats the have to deal with.

The sex was pretty hot even if it was MF 😂😂. And of course, the internal monologues are all very emotional and OTT in the style of the first three books. One thing that I loved about this was that Jane isn’t your stereotypical heroine. She doesn’t have a perfect body, she is chubby, small breasted, has frizzy hair, stretch marks, questionable fashion sense, but she is so strong and incredibly intelligent that she blows regular people out of the water! And kudos to Thatcher for seeing her as absolute perfection!

I listened to this one and the narration was fantastic—especially the narrator for Thatcher. Too bad he doesn’t narrate MM books. Since I listened to the first three in the series, it threw me hearing Jane being narrated by a woman, since I wasn’t used to her voice like that. I got used to it after a while, but still missed the original narrators for the series.

So, all in all my venture into girly parts in my romances wasn’t too traumatic!!

Not so fake couple!

The Like Us series is becoming one of my favorites.
Whew, Jane and Thatcher had some sizzling chemistry! And because of that, you just knew the whole "fake couple" thing was not going to last. They sure did give it a good try, though, doing their best to keep up the act for everyone around them. But when feelings are that strong between people there's really no way to deny it.
I enjoyed finally getting to know Jane, outside of her friendship with Moffy. I really like her- she's sweet and quirky, loves with her whole heart, she's not afraid to be who she is, unapologetically. And I loved that Thatcher respected and cared for Jane, quirks, cats, and all.
I thought these two were great together, so opposite but just perfect.
I'm so glad we get to see the rest of the families in these books, they all contribute so much to these stories. Since I haven't read the parents books, it's nice getting to know them a bit this way. Jane's family is awesome, I love her siblings!

I have to say, I'm a little frustrated with the security team, especially with how the book ended. I don't agree with how they are going about things, and I'm anxious to see the way things are going to play out. They seem to be over-stepping boundaries, but we shall see!

This was the first book I've listened to by both Holly and Stephen and I really enjoyed their narrations. Holly was great as Jane and I loved how Stephen brought Thatcher to life. My only issue with his narration was with the other male voices. I had a hard time distinguishing who was who, as they all kind of sounded similar, and more on the feminine side. But other than that, the narration was great!
And I do admit, it was hard hearing other people narrate #Marrow, because I love JF and Alexander- they are Moffy and Farrow!, but what can you do?

Disappointed!

In all the books I've listened/read from this sister duo, only 2 have not met my expectations, and sadly this was one of them. the plot seemed to go nowhere, not even sure there was one. Jane...simply did not feel like Jane, not the strong character I know and love. Hated the narration for her, she was portrayed as wishy-washy. Thatcher was just okay, expected much more from him. In a nutshell, I felt no chemistry between him and Jane, and it felt like they just went through the motions to get from point A to B.

I did enjoy catching up with all the siblings and cousins, but would have enjoyed just a smidge more time with their beloved parents.

I will not give up on this series, I have faith in the Ritchie sisters, they very rarely disappoint, but unfortunately for me, this book did not live up to what I know they are capable of.

Love this series

Yeah all of these books can be a bit frustrating but it’s easy to get into this universe. I wasn’t a fan of hothouse flowers, but since then, I’ve really started to love the characters. I do have to say though, the clothes the main character, Jane, wears is ridiculous. Purple tutus and leopard print jackets? Come on.

There are some crazy hot scenes in this! Love it!!
