Publisher's Summary

Unlikely allies uniting across the world. Blood feuds that span centuries. A single chance at life.

The world watches the sky with trepidation. The insanity of Xenocide knew no bounds, and all will soon suffer the effects he had planned for a millennium. Though none know what is to come, they all know it isn't going to be easy to survive.

The Master has a plan, one that can give the world at large a way to escape the onrushing desolation. It may be on the bleeding edge of morality and what he needs might prove too difficult to secure, but the Master asks for trust.

Cal and Dale both have their role to play as the world hurtles toward destruction. One needs to bring the races of the world together while the other simply needs to survive. Surrounded by supposed allies, the duo will do all that they can to succeed - but with every new arrival comes rising tensions and faltering trust.

The apocalypse is coming. Will honor or greed stand the test of time?

A bit different with Luke Daniels, but still good!

At first it was strange getting used to the new character voices, but I quickly got used to it and was pulled in. Love Luke Daniels narration, and this was a great book in the series.

Great Series.

I very much enjoyed this series. I would have enjoyed a more filled out and less open ended conclusion but still very good. The narration change was a little jarring. But after a quick look into why, it is completely understandable.

Regarding New Narrator

I see a lot of negative comments about the change in narrator, however I think it's a rather interesting creative perspective added by the author.

if you listened to the last book you know Dale just went through the Tower of Accention - he became a mage. in the first 45 seconds of the story Dale remarks how "everything sounds different" now that he's a mage lol so considering this is all from his perspective - So shouldn't it sound different to us, the audience? I think so!

Great story

Loved the story and the series but was disappointed at the change of reader for this last book. If I wasn’t invested in the story I would have stopped listening.

Meh....

New narrator for that last (current) book in series doesn't leave me wanting more. All the voices sounded similar and was just very offputting. The story is okay

Good book, wrong nerrator

I really loved this book. I don't think this nerrator was the best replacement though. IMO the guy who does artorian archives would've flowed a bit better.
Still reading these though and enjoying them! Looking forwards to book 7 of artorian archives and 6 of the other one!

Good book, good voice actor, bad editing

It's good book, that also answered questions about the past books. With that said, it does feels like some characters have had personality changes without any real reason. Though that could be because of the new voice actor and the way he changed their voices. Which I really like as he brings a new depth to the majority of characters. But it does feel like some characters that where prioritized with the last voice actor where overlooked with this new one. A prefect example of this would be Danny, because with Adams she had a voice variation and felt like a living character and different from other characters. While with Luke she has no voice variations, and she's more forgettable and feels like a background character rather than a main sidekick, as there's no difference between her voice and the narrative or people like Dale or Cal.

Also i forgot about this, but the editing is bad there are parts of the book where it'll just repeat.

A sorry performance

good story, even though it's less entertaining than the previous one's. The big issue is the different narrator. He change the personality of the characters by intonation and speed of speech. Furthermore, he doesn't have a good difference between female and male voice, making it confusing at time.

What an ending...but the narrator...

narrator did not even try to replicate the voices of the characters we had grown to like. makes it hard to connect and really hard to get into the story.
