Enjoyable

As a newcomer to Mark Tufo's work, I was pleasantly surprised. His writing style flows well and is easy to follow along with.

I slightly take issue with the notion that this is a stand alone book, seeing as characters from his other works are front and center. Some effort is made to explain who they are, but it feels like it was an afterthought. For example: (light spoilers ahead) at no point is it explained how or why the protagonist is a vampire. The significance of many characters was simply lost on me as someone who isn't at all familiar with his Zombie Fallout series.

Never the less, there's enough of an original plot here that I still found it enjoyable. So I'll probably follow up on Mark's work, since all in all he is a good writer.
