Publisher's Summary

Visit the magical animal world of Brian Jacques in this thrilling prequel to Redwall. Long before the abbey of Redwall is built, the land is known simply as Mossflower, a lush woodland and happy home to all. That is, until Tsarmina, a cruel wildcat queen who demands obedience and offers the castle's dungeon to those who defy her, comes along. Brian Jacques' tales of courageous heroes and deliciously hateful villains have captivated countless readers.

Loved it ... Just one small nitpick

I love the Redwall books available here. I have listened to them repeatedly.

The one tiny issue I have is that there should be better transitions between parts of the story.

There is not enough of a pause between the narration of the quest and when it switches back to Mossfolower, this can become confusing for those not familiar with the books.

A great tale

Along with the original Redwall book, this is one of the two best stories in the series in my mind. The villain is believable and poses a genuine threat. Lots of twists and turns make this a very enjoyable investment of 12 hours of your time.

A story of heroes.

I read Brian Jacques books aloud to my son starting from about 5 yrs old. Gradually he read parts with me until he was reading these novels to me, except for the Moles o'course. He's 26 now, and still loves the stories of Redwall. Share them.
