Great read, useful tips, though lacking

First and foremost, I did indeed enjoy the book and the overall sentiment of helping people achieve their goals by optimizing small daily practices to "own the day". What I did find lacking was the breadth of the options. After reading such books as Diet cults, 4 hour body, Wheat belly, power of habit, and many more this book left me feeling that this was just one more view completely limited to a single prescriptive to optimization. The general themes are very similar to those in the above mentioned resources: sugar = bad, simple carbs = bad, get your sleep, exercise, and your life & sex life will get better. Some of the content is poorly researched in my opinion, one example would be bodily detoxification through sweat. Toxins such as mercury, alcohol and most drugs are eliminated by your liver, intestines or kidneys not sweat. Little nuances like that throughout the book left me skeptical and feeling that it was lacking. To say that the only way to "own your day" is to start it with a version of a keto diet, is to basically to say that there is only one perfect way, when in fact we all know perfection comes in all shapes and sizes.

Don’t bother

Wish I could have the time back. Nothing new here, a lot of sudo science and selective “evidence”, not to mention 70% is a subtle, (and at times not so subtle), infomercial for products that can be purchased. There are much better book out there

Well Worth It. Stellar book.

Loved it! After immediately implementing a small portion of this book (Morning hydration, Sunlight and getting moving, matcha green tea, and high fat, low sugar morning/lunch), I've this good and energized in my life.

Expected More

I read a lot of reviews and assumed I would get more from this book. I did like that it was 11 hours as there was some good points. I expect my husband will enjoy this more.

as a YouTube fan, i was very excited for this book

the entire book was written like the reader was a loser and the book was the answer. he braced the reader for his strange ideas that need to be done to improve all areas of your life . strange lunch. dinner for sex, odd work outs. overall , i was very disappointed in the approach and many of his ideas were idiotic at best

It's pretty much a "bro science" book

The facts about nutrition and supplements are more than doubtful. The whole thing could be summarized in a couple pages. Also title doesn't match the content

Meh

Took a chance with this one and regretted it by chapter 2. Too much name dropping and citing of scientific studies to make his bro science sound more credible. Was expecting something more profound but instead just got a collection of tips and bandwagon pseudo-scientific health fads being passed off as the be-all and end-all for everyone. The info here isn't anything new or different then what you can get from a few health/fitness podcasts which are free, more entertaining, and can sometimes offer alternative perspectives.
