Description
#1 WORLDWIDE BESTSELLER • "Dr. Langdon is once again wrapped up in a global-scale event that could have massive ramifications on the world’s religions. As he does in all his novels, Brown[‘s] extensive research on art, architecture, and history informs every page." —Entertainment Weekly
Robert Langdon, Harvard professor of symbology, arrives at the ultramodern Guggenheim Museum Bilbao to attend the unveiling of a discovery that “will change the face of science forever.” The evening’s host is Edmond Kirsch, a forty-year-old billionaire and futurist, and one of Langdon’s first students.
But the meticulously orchestrated evening suddenly erupts into chaos, and Kirsch’s precious discovery teeters on the brink of being lost forever. Facing an imminent threat, Langdon is forced to flee. With him is Ambra Vidal, the elegant museum director who worked with Kirsch. They travel to Barcelona on a perilous quest to locate a cryptic password that will unlock Kirsch’s secret.
Navigating the dark corridors of hidden history and extreme religion, Langdon and Vidal must evade an enemy whose all-knowing power seems to emanate from Spain’s Royal Palace. They uncover clues that ultimately bring them face-to-face with Kirsch’s shocking discovery…and the breathtaking truth that has long eluded us.
Ce que les critiques en disent
"Narrator Paul Michael dazzles in this latest Dan Brown thriller featuring symbologist Robert Langdon.... Michael's narration provides a tone of erudition that complements Brown's signature blend of art, architecture, history, and thriller. Michael's inspired vocal work adds further texture, though Winston, surprisingly, outshines most of the human characters." (AudioFile)

Totally engaged from the start
I loved this book the same as all the ones before it. Dan Brown is brilliant in his story telling yet again. I couldn't wait to listen each day to unravel more. I was sad when it ended.
The narrator was exceptional. I loved the different accents to distinguish each character.

Astounding food for thought.
Dan Brown gives a lot to ponder. Begging the questions "where do we come from?" and "where are we going?" He ties the book up beautifully leaving the reader awe stuck and curious if his the telling of this book could be a reality.

Disappointing
Never in my experience with audio books have I listened to a reading on Fast. However, once I’d been listening for 5 hours waiting for something to happen, I sped up to 1.25 narrative speed, occasionally upping that to 1.5. Beware of using your points on this novel which failed in so many ways. Borrow the book from a library so you can skim.

What an exciting reading!
Dan Brown has surprised me with this novel! Dan is quite smart to "mislead" the readers throughout his books. I mean, coming up with something is never so easy such as happened as well in this story. I should also say that even me being a math teacher I had to reread a few parts of this story due to the abstraction. Overall, a whole exciting reading!
