Painfully obvious and boring. Poorly written.
I can't recall a book where the author wrote that a character 'said nothing' because it is obvious if there is no written dialogue. This author felt it necessary to use that phrase between 200 and 300 times. At least 200 'Reacher said nothing'. Good grief.

Slow
Good points:
I have read books 1-4 and now this book and this is probably the better book in showcasing Jacks investigative mind.
Bad:
There is a lot of uneccesary waiting in cars, talking.....the dialogue is slow ...lots of slow and very "Socratic" where instead of getting to the point....the characters just asks questions until the answer is coaxed out

Not his best outing.
The story was weak. The ending even weaker.
If there isn't going to be any action, then at least elucidate the solving of the mystery. You can't have Reacher solve the whole problem in his head and then just say a few enlightening words.

Terrible Narration
