Description

This sequel to Patient Zero brings Joe Ledger back into action.

Zero Tolerance picks up a few weeks after the close of Maberry’s action-thriller Patient Zero. Dropping back into the world of former Baltimore cop Joe Ledger, the Department of Military Sciences, and flesh-eating zombies, fans of the series will finally see the tying up of a few loose ends.

I Love These Shorts

Where does Zero Tolerance rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Right Up There in the TOP TOP TOP.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Zero Tolerance?

Amira in the caves.

What about Ray Porter’s performance did you like?

Every. Moment.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

No movies. They'd probably put someone stupid like Tom Cruise as Joe and I'd have to vomit.

Any additional comments?

I love the fact that this short ties up Book One.

Good but not worth using your credit, just buy it

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I'd recommend it to fans of the Joe Ledger series but it is too short to waste a credit on.

What about Ray Porter???s performance did you like?

Ray's performance was amazing as usual.

Do not purchase. This is not a book

What disappointed you about Zero Tolerance?

How can you call this an unabridged book. It just contains a thought in 3 chapters. I enjoy Jonathan Maberry's books but this is a disappointing excuse for a book.

Would you be willing to try another one of Ray Porter’s performances?

Yes

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Zero Tolerance?

CUT? You must first sell me a book!

Buy (don't use credits) to this 45 minute piece . . . 😱

5 is great.
4 is good.
3 is OK.

You MUST read the book first. This is really a "last chapter" to "Patient Zero" which is a 3 to 4 star listen -- but this is better than the book as a whole --probably because a lot of action is packed into a short space. _______😱

That all I have say about that.

This was a short that tied up the main loose end of Patient Zero. I'm glad that the loose end was not the next book.

Great, too short!

Where does Zero Tolerance rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love Joe Ledger, his sardonic nature and all the rest. When I can't find another good book or one I bought was not very good, I listen to patient zero. This filled in blanks left from that book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Zero Tolerance?

When he puts the gun to his nemisis.

Which scene was your favorite?

Would be a scene spoiler.

Any additional comments?

I am going to listen again because I was confused why part of his team with a vast amount of weapons couldn't take out the few walkers they encountered. It was dark and the team knew they were hostiles and didn't just take them out. Unless they were eating people, how would they know they were different and be freaked?

Meh

Any additional comments?

Although I enjoy Jonathan Maberry's writing style, his world views bleed too much into his stories, and his views are insane. The basic premise of the entire series is that capitalism is the root of all evil. Jihadists are just misled and the real evil is Christianity, big business, and the U.S. Government. He insinuates many times that Obama's accomplishments were masked by Dr. Evil conspiracies on Wall Street, while implicating Bush (by name) in several evil plots. I know it's fiction, but seeding this kind of political opinion into fiction has created a lot of ignorance of late. Concerning the military and combat; this author is without a single clue. A Phily cop jumps into a role where he's leading (and out fighting) tier1 operators like Delta Force. As a veteran who enjoyed movies like Rambo, but laughed at the ridiculousness of it, I can say that Joe Ledger is many times more laughable. These stories could have been a lot better if the author would have done his homework and resisted seeding it with extremist liberal tripe. It's a real shame.

Too short for the price

I agree with previous reviewers about the length being an issue. Definitely not worth a credit and the flat cost should be less, too.

It ties up a single loose end from the previous story. That is all.

NOT essential to the story line and can be skipped.

Well written. Well performed. Just not worth the cost for what feels like a epilogue.

Garbage.

Feel robbed. this is a short story. Not a novel. Requesting refund. A 44 minute waste.

Didn't realize this was a short story

Any additional comments?

Comic book edition to the previous book on a WHAT HAPPENED NEXT? Really it could have been a final chapter of the book.
