Everything in Lorna’s life runs like clockwork, from her six a.m. run to the strict 60 minute counselling sessions she gives. It’s the only way she can deal with the terrible secret she carries.
When a new client arrives for his first appointment, Lorna feels her perfect life unravel in a matter of seconds. It’s Andrew, the man she’s spent the last year desperately trying to forget. It seems he can’t forget her either....
Against her better judgment, she anonymously contacts him on a dating site. Messaging him could mean the end of her marriage and her career, but she needs to know if his motives are genuine.
When Andrew is found dead in his home, grief quickly turns to fear when messages from him continue to arrive on Lorna’s phone. Somebody knows her secret and wants to use it to destroy everything she has.
Will she risk her family and her sanity to keep her secret? Will she risk her life?
If you love twisty psychological thrillers that get under your skin, like The Girl on the Train, I Let You Go, or anything by Louise Jensen, you’ll be utterly blown away by the jaw-dropping lies in Tell Me A Secret.

Just ok
It was ok, there were some choices by the main character that were at odds with the actual story and the big build was a bit overblown and mostly predictable save for one or two twists. She was supposedly an intelligent woman with a good career and a good relationship with her kids but suddenly that just gets thrown away without a thought? It really relies on the "love makes us do crazy things" and the "messed up childhood = messed up adult" tropes a bit much. The kids and friends were also throwaway characters added more for filler than any real substance and used solely to bring up something the main character needed to push things along.
In terms of narration, the characters all sounded so if you missed the name at the start of the chapter, it got confusing, especially as the storylines converged. There's also one point in the audiobook where the perspective shifts without warning... I had to re-listen several times to figure out exactly what was going on and make sure I had the right perspective. It's a good listen but it does require paying close attention to distinguish the characters more than I would have liked.

It took a strange turn.
While it was intriguing, it went really dark really quickly at one point late in the story. All in all though, it was pretty good. too long of an ending.

Just ok
The ending is a good twist but I really didn’t like the main character, which ruined the story for me. She inspired no sympathy and so I didn’t really care that things got difficult for her. Great narration though.

Annoying start
This book was odd. The main character made really strange decisions considering her profession. I think it actually would have worked better if she was an accountant or a lawyer or something. The entire first 2/3 of the book was spent being annoyed at her. It really seemed like some dumb romance story where the woman just makes stupid decisions based on what the man wants.
The LAST 1/3 of the book contained the twists. And they were pretty good twists, at least one of which I didn’t anticipate. They were dramatic, but not really believable. But did it make up for the annoyance of the first 2/3 of the book? I dunno. I don’t hate it enough that I want my money back, but my main feeling is still annoyance.
