The story was good, I didn't care for narrator

The book was good however I really couldn't get past the narrator. It made the character sound weak and whiny. Same/similar voice, it got hard to tell which sister was speaking in a few cases.

Could be much better

I looked forward to reading this book and decided to listen to the audio nook while I hike and walk. The narrator is very disappointing. This could be due in large part to the great many talented narrators I have listened to over the years, along with their excellent performances. Listening to this audiobook, I kept thinking over and over that this narrator should NOT be performing audiobooks. I have not looked to see who narrates the other books in this series; however, I will not listen to them unless there is a new narrator.

My disappointment in the audiobook has colored my perception of the book overall. I think the story has/had potential, but it needs quite a bit more “something“ before I could recommend this book.

Narrator Ruins Story

My apologies to the author who probably wrote a sweet book to read on a Summer day. However the narrator chooses to use an overly deep southern accent for characters, even adding high whiny tones and seemingly wrong emotions for different phrases. I couldn’t finish.

Boring

This book bored me. I found nothing exciting about it. It was very predictable and I struggled to finish it. I regret wasting an audible credit.

Yawn

I regret spending a credit on this boring book made even worse by the poor narration. I don't need fake southern accents. And the character Dawson is made to sound like an elderly man. I have one more Rachel Hanna book in my library, but that will be the last one.

Boring!!

I wanted to stop listening 10 times. I only struggled through it because it was a short listen. The choice for narration was horrible. Could they have picked anyone else less monotone? ugh. Where was the relationship with Dawson? Too many timeline skips.

Great story

Not sure if the story teller or the story was confusing; inflection or concept. I don’t think the narration was revised before releasing. Sweet story. Def had potential.

The narration was terrible

The narration was awful. The attempt at a southern accent was whinny and irritating while other female characters sounded like old men. I was disappointed to see the writer used the same narrator for future books in the series. I actually had to stop listening and ordered the ebook instead. That being said the story was ok not great, but engaging enough that I ordered next book-the ebook version.

Not worth it

It was like you were listening to a Hallmark movie. Super predictable from the beginning.
Also reader’s voice was so-so at best.

Did not like the narrator

I was so excited to find this series but only got to chapter 3 before I couldn’t listen anymore. The voices she used sounded like a preschool story. So sad I can’t finish
