Publisher's Summary

There is little more terrifying than those who hunt, stalk, and snatch their prey under the cloak of darkness. These hunters search not for animals, but for the touch, taste, and empowerment of human flesh. They are cannibals, vampires, and monsters, and they walk among us.

These serial killers are not mythical beasts with horns and shaggy hair. They are people living among society, going about their day-to-day activities until nightfall. They are the Dennis Rader's, the fathers, husbands, church-going members of the community.

This A-Z encyclopedia of 150 serial killers is the ideal reference audiobook. Included are the most famous true crime serial killers, like Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, Richard Ramirez, and not to mention the women who kill, such as Aileen Wuornos, and Martha Rendell. There are also lesser known serial killers, covering many countries around the world, so broad is the range.

Each of the serial killer files includes information on when and how they killed the victims, the background of each killer, or the suspects in some cases, such as the Zodiac killer, their trials and punishments. For some there are chilling quotes by the killers themselves. The Big Book of Serial Killers is an easy-to-follow collection of information on the world's most heinous murderers.

YIKES!!

I like 'real stories ' How much those stories make me feel is how I rate a book like this one....and this one is very clear and concise and nervous?! YOU BET!! The number of people taken is mind blowing!! All persons in this book are very deserving of the Death sentences given......some in this book are still breathing the same air as me and YOU!! How does that make u feel? Go ahead and give it a look....you won't beleive what's in this book....parental discretion is needed....

Too much focus is on names of victims and dates if death

Need should focus on storyline more. Not to dismiss victims and dates iof death, but he should.mention a link on it. Found it just too much when your trying to focus on a Story and he is mentioning all victims and dates of death. Some stories had over 100 victims. So Found myself Toning out and losing interest in story

Meh

Narrator mispronounced many words. Book doesn't include Henry Lee Lucas. Kinda disappointing. I think this would be better as a physical reference book.

Not exactly what I expected

Not for me. I expected a story of the events. Not a story of facts read this way. If you what to know about every event yes but there are no personal stories. If your doing an essay or need actual names etc to look for a complete story this is for you.

Terrible narrator- sounds like text to voice

Ended up returning it because the narration was awful. Sounds like text to voice generation, and not even a good one. It's hard to believe this is a real person. Couldn't get passed how annoying it was to listen.

Just google the facts

Giant book of short facts. Who did what, to who, when. Boring. Not the stories like I thought. My mistake
