Great!!
This book was great! It's got me hooked, can't wait to start book 2. I usually listen to my stories while I drive, but with this book I kpwt listening even when I was home and not driving.

A gripping, exciting rush of a story
I loved this book. It’s got everything action, intrigue and romance! Awesome storyline! Must read for fans of Danielle Jensen (her best book yet!) or fans of Sarah J Maas.

slow burn
I had to take a few breaks because the story lulled a bit for me at several points. Also, all the trade specifics and different nations/towns got a little confusing. but the story really picked up and got super engrossing at about the 3/4 mark. a little late for my taste but it almost made up completely for everything else.
Also, just my personal taste, but it could have been sexier. tension is the name of the game!!
excited to dive into book 2!

Amazing concept and characters!
The way this book had my stomach in a knot the entire time, great suspense! The concept of the book alone is exactly what fantasy lovers need to read, I’m tired of the same trope, this book is something to light the fire in me!
Strategy, politics, love, the push and pull of evil and guilt. Loved each and every character, they push the story forward instead of letting it play out around them and that is what makes a wonderful plot line. So engrossed I didn’t realize it was ending and had to jump straight into the second!
Female voice actress was my preferred reader but having a male to do the other chapters was a great way to go back and forth with no confusion. Even loved the rain transitions between chapters.
TL;DR: If you want a book with a gripping, well planned plot, and complicated characters to go along with it, read The Bridge Kingdom.
