Publisher's Summary

Soon to be a major motion picture starring Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba!

In this third volume, several months have passed, and Roland's two new tet-mates have become trained gunslingers. Eddie Dean has given up heroin, and Odetta's two selves have joined, becoming the stronger and more balanced personality of Susannah Dean. But while battling The Pusher in 1977 New York, Roland altered ka by saving the life of Jake Chambers, a boy who - in Roland's world - has already died. Now Roland and Jake exist in different worlds, but they are joined by the same madness: the paradox of double memories.

Roland, Susannah, and Eddie must draw Jake into Mid-World and then follow the Path of the Beam all the way to the Dark Tower. Along the way our tet stumbles into the ruined city of Lud, and are caught between the warring gangs of the Pubes and the Grays. The only way out of Lud is to wake Blaine the Mono, an insane train that has a passion for riddling, and for suicidal journeys.

Awesome book.

This is by far my favourite book so far. I look forward to listening to the other ones.
The only thing I have bad to say about it is I can hear someone talking in the background.
But the Narrators voice is for each characters really bring you into the story.

Great listen

I have read the book a couple times but at listening to it being narrated gave it a whole new feel. the narrator did an amazing job of the voices and effects throughout the book which definitely helped. As a truck driver he spends a lot of time on the road it definitely helps pass the time

Another great in the Dark Tower series

I didn’t like Frank Miller at first but I am a huge fan and can’t imagine the series w/o him now.
And of course, this is a great Stephen King series. It’s been great to relive it on audible. Onto The Wizard and Glass!

A ride from start to finish.

If you loved the first two books of the series, you'll be happy to know that King continues to impress with his third installment of this strange, beautiful journey. I have completely fallen in love with the characters and their relationships. Stephen King does an incredible job of creating captivating villains that actually feel dangerous. Frank Muller narrates the story in a way that brings life to the characters and makes the listener feel immersive.

Incredible Narration

I’m always concerned when a narrator changes mid-series, but this narrator is a rare talent and one of the best I’ve ever heard

Glorious

The only dislike I have with this piece of the gunslinger saga is that it came to an abrupt end, leaving me with the pain of the prisoner as he was touched by his demon heroin
