Publisher's Summary

The National Best Seller and a Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine Book Club Pick

“Will keep you up. In a ‘can’t put it down’ way. It’s ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’ with XX chromosomes.” (The Skimm)

“Deliciously duplicitous. . . . equally as twisty, spellbinding, and addictive as Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl or Paula Hawkins’s The Girl on the Train.” (Library Journal, starred review)

Amber Patterson is fed up. She's tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more - a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted.

To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne - a socialite and philanthropist - and her real-estate mogul husband, Jackson, are a couple straight out of a fairy tale.

Amber's envy could eat her alive...if she didn't have a plan. Amber uses Daphne's compassion and caring to insinuate herself into the family's life - the first step in a meticulous scheme to undermine her. Before long Amber is Daphne's closest confidante, traveling to Europe with the Parrishes and their lovely young daughters and growing closer to Jackson. But a skeleton from her past may undermine everything that Amber has worked toward, and if it is discovered, her well-laid plan may fall to pieces.

With shocking turns and dark secrets that will keep you guessing until the very end, The Last Mrs. Parrish is a fresh, juicy, and utterly addictive thriller from a diabolically imaginative talent.

Not bad, but...

I figured out the plot twist pretty early on in the story. I still enjoyed the story, the narrator was good.

Great Book!

This was a really great book! The first part was dull but once part two began it really picked up and then it was impossible to stop. I'm recommending it to all my friends!

narrator sounds like an echo dot, very robotic

the narrator was very distracting, I wish I could have read this book. the attempt at different voices just missed the mark. the story itself is pretty good, predictable to someone who reads a lot of mystery/suspense but well told. I gave a 4 star review because the author shouldn't be held accountable for the jarring narration.

Well Written Characters and Engaging Story

I must admit I spent some moments doubting whether to continue reading this book through the first half exploring Amber's character. The real story begins to unfold when you see things from Daphne perspective. And trust me, it's worth the wait. The voice acting was a little cringe worthy at first (just hire a male voice actor. Please. It really takes you out of the story to hear what sounds like a pubescent teenage boy trying to drop his voice). Otherwise, the performance was well done.

My first ever audiobook and I loved it!!

I give this book four stars because I enjoyed it so much!! I didn’t give it five only because I have nothing to compare it to to be fare. The only thing that I found slightly difficult in listening was a female voice Portraying the voice of a male. It was the one thing that would bring me back from my entranced state of listening. I did over come it though. I enjoyed my first experience very completely.

Easy quick read

I do enjoy books that have 2 sided POV storytelling. The first half of this one was overly cliched with the ‘conniving, evil one and tbh tiresome at times...but you were hooked in to see the unfolding.

Interesting on the back half- this truly drew me in!

A tidy clean up at end and so I would say this is an easy beach read .
