Publisher's Summary

Sometimes the difference between a love story and a horror story is where the ending comes....

While Jude fought for power in the Court of Elfhame against the cruel Prince Cardan, her sister, Taryn, began to fall in love with the trickster Locke.

Half-apology and half-explanation, it turns out Taryn has some secrets of her own to reveal.

The Lost Sisters is a companion novella-length audiobook to the New York Times best-selling novel The Cruel Prince by master writer Holly Black.

Cute story

It a nice explanation of the story from the point of view of Taryn. It’s nice to know how the story developed for her with Locke and Jude. Don’t despise her as much

Fills in some gaps

This novella fills in some gaps to understand the relationship between Taryn and Locke. However, there was a ton of retelling in order to help us understand what part she was referring to. It wasn’t my favorite work of Holly Black’s.

Cool to get a different POV

Really enjoyed getting a different perspective from Teryn’s point of view. My only qualm, was that it wasn’t longer!

Worst sister ever, good story, great performance

If anything this made me more enraged with T, which is to say the author did a good job and the performer did an even better job. The amount of delulu this girl shows is insane. I hate her more than ever now I rly hope we get to see her downfall lmao. I love this series I just bought all the other audiobooks. Can’t wait to see how this plays out ✨

I wish it went further into the stories,

I love these stories. Holly Black is amazing. I just wish we had more insight into her side of the story.

Really nice.

I really liked that we got Taryn's side of what happened with Locke; it really helps to paint the full picture.

Not worth it

Wouldn't say it was worth the purchase in my opinion. Found it bland, dry and had no real depth to it.

Dissapointing

I love other points of view novels to accompany a good book, specially when I'm craving for a new release and it eases the wait, an example of that is: the red pearl hawke's point of view scene of from blood and ash. This book however, doesn't meet the expectations, I would much rather a Cardan's perspective on any other scene than this one.

It is obvious from the first book the reasons behind the sisters betrayal so this book was unnecessary and pointless. The good thing is that it is inexpensive so at least it doesn't dissapoint in that remark, makes the loss of an hour of your time, feel better.
