Publisher's Summary

THE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

“Told in rotating points of view, this Tilt-A-Whirl of a novel brims with jangly tension – an undeniably engrossing guessing game.”Vogue

"[A] clever, cliff-hanger-filled thriller."People

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Guest List comes a new locked room mystery, set in a Paris apartment building in which every resident has something to hide…

Jess needs a fresh start. She’s broke and alone, and she’s just left her job under less than ideal circumstances. Her half-brother Ben didn’t sound thrilled when she asked if she could crash with him for a bit, but he didn’t say no, and surely everything will look better from Paris. Only when she shows up – to find a very nice apartment, could Ben really have afforded this? – he’s not there.

The longer Ben stays missing, the more Jess starts to dig into her brother’s situation, and the more questions she has. Ben’s neighbors are an eclectic bunch, and not particularly friendly. Jess may have come to Paris to escape her past, but it’s starting to look like it’s Ben’s future that’s in question.

The socialite – The nice guy – The alcoholic – The girl on the verge – The concierge

Everyone's a neighbor. Everyone's a suspect. And everyone knows something they’re not telling.

Amazing book - performances are all solid but this book keeps you guessing. I was convinced I had it figured out and ended up yelling OMG GET OUT!!!! TWICE while driving on a hwy!

very convulated.

switching between different monotone voices were so boring. the story is slow moving and broken up with the different narrators. there needs to be a narrator to tie the chapters together . could only listen to the first third of the book

A summer/cottage listen that delivers

Just a fun mystery with some compelling characters, voiced by different actors. It's light, easy to follow and a nice length for a vacation! The Clue like aspect of the single building (for the most part) setting is really fun, because it lets your brain take a break haha 😂

Mediocre at best

I rely on reviews to select my audiobook choices hence my selection of The Paris Apartment. I persevered but this is a mediocre story and performance at best. The story line was OK but very superficial. For example, the story was set in one of the most interesting cities in the world however, the author failed to take advantage of the setting. The characters and the circumstances were weakly developed and suffered from lazy thinking and writing.

Loved the ensemble cast!

The ensemble cast was fantastic, well suited to the format of Foley’s books and it enhanced the listening experience. The plot kept me guessing until almost the end.

Fantastic!

Full of atmosphere, great characters, and a bad ass female lead. Awesome multi voiced narration added to the drama. Love love loved the ending. Foley's talents just keep expanding - cannot wait to read her next novel.

Suspensful plot, masterfully narrated

I loved this book from the very first chapter. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way through, never a dull moment. I loved the voices of Jess and Nick the best. Can't wait to read more from Lucy Foley.
