Publisher's Summary

"There are only two reasons a nonseer would see a spirit on St. Mark's Eve," Neeve said. "Either you're his true love... or you killed him."

It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive. Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them - not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her. His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.

But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain. He has it all - family money, good looks, devoted friends - but he's looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.

For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she's not so sure anymore.

From Maggie Stiefvater, the best-selling and acclaimed author of the Shiver trilogy and The Scorpio Races, comes a spellbinding new series where the inevitability of death and the nature of love lead us to a place we've never been before.

Will Patton is perfect

This is the first book in my all time favourite series. I love all of the characters, and this is THE character driven series, and Will Patton brings them to vivid life. I have reread/listened to this series multiple times and I never grow tired of it. #Audible1

Twas ok

I've heard time and time again it gets better as you read the series, so maybe if I continue I'll enjoy it more? I found it pretty confusing and also really hated the narration. The characters were ok and the writing style a bit too flowery for me. I LOVED the parts where you got to listen to the tarot readings and the second half was pretty engaging. I would say overall a solid 3.

Worth a listen/read if you like Supernatural

This book was good over all. I did however find some things described in so kuch detail that my mind wondered. the narrator took some getting use to, as he pronounces his "S" very snake like and it hurt the ears but once I was invested in the characters (about 3 or 4 chapters in) I mostly got over the harsh static of the snakey "S".

Alright

To be honest didn’t like the narrator at first he had this lisp and accent that reminded me of Donald trump.. sorry. But it grew on me. toward the end I actually liked it although I did speed up the audio.

The story I enjoyed although I didn’t quite understand all the history and lore they explain. The magic was easier to understand although it doesn’t seems to follow set rules yet. It’s pretty character driven and one of my favourite things was how they all interacted with each other and the world.

Overall it was pretty fun I will be reading the next book to get some more answers and to see what happens.
