Aoife McMahon is great
I love the solid continuity of Dervla McTiernan's writing. You're never left hanging nor trying to figure out who people are. It is a great book. I am addicted to her story weaving I'll say because telling is just not the correct word. She eases you into trouble and whirls you around and you think you've figured it out only to see yyyyuck didn't think of that. I can't wait to get into her other long novels. her short novellas are smashing too.

Amazing!
Loved this book! This is the second one I have read from the same author in this series and they just keep getting better! I can't wait to delve into book 3.

Entertaining crime story
Well written, well narrated. Good character development. I did figure out some the plot very early on, though not all of it, so that was a bit of a twist near the end.

Meh
I had average hopes for this book. Wasn't sure how it would unfold.The summary had appeal, and I downloaded it only because it was free. The narration was good. The story was forgettable. The character development was poor. Characters were discarded easily, and storylines were undeveloped. This was a hallmark movie level mystery. The outcome held no great shock, and there was no build-up to the end. A few moments kept me listening to see where it would go, but overall... I expected average, and that is what I got.
