Publisher's Summary

"Superbly performed by Susan Ericksen, Vendetta in Death is mesmerizing to the very end, and a 'must' especially for connoisseurs of the genre.... Highly recommended." (Midwest Book Review)

The predator becomes the prey in J. D. Robb's Vendetta in Death, the newest thriller in the number one New York Times best-selling series featuring homicide detective Eve Dallas.

She calls herself Lady Justice. And once she has chosen a man as her target, she turns herself into a tall blonde or a curvaceous redhead, makes herself as alluring and seductive as possible to them. Once they are in her grasp, they are powerless.

The first victim is wealthy businessman Nigel McEnroy. His company’s human resources department has already paid out settlements to a couple of his young victims - but they don’t know that his crimes go far beyond workplace harassment. Lady Justice knows. And in one shocking night of brutality, she makes him pay a much steeper price.

Now, Eve Dallas and her husband, Roarke, are combing through the evidence of McEnroy’s secret life. His compulsive need to record his misdeeds provides them with a wide range of suspects, but the true identity of Lady Justice remains elusive. It’s a challenging case, made even more difficult by McEnroy’s widow, who reacts to the investigation with fury, denial, and threats. Meanwhile, Lady Justice’s criminal crusade is escalating rapidly, and if Eve can’t stop this vigilante, there’s no telling how much blood may be spilled....

This story is a little unique, compared to others. I like the variety in the book.

Performer is excellent as always

good book

Starting to get very repetitive. but still a great read or listen. Does Roarke ever not work a case?

I enjoyed this book more than the last few as it felt more like the older Eve and Rourke

Another fantastic instalment!

Robb knows how to keep these stories fresh, with engaging characters I wish I could meet in real life. A fantastic read.

Fantastic read

The story was gripping from the first chapter to the last chapter! Amazing read, and the voice actor was 100% on point. Will definitely recommend to anyone who likes mysteries and science fiction

Love the Book, Hate the Narrator

I really detest the narrator's voice for Peabody! Love the book though!

Not enamored of Roarke's voice either.

Could Have Benn A Great Read!

Good potential but (sadly), once again Robb had to focus on and write much too much of the story about the murderer. If I wanted to read descriptions of torture and the murderer's actions and thoughts then I would choose a different kind of book! It is excellently read and why there are reviews that criticize the narration makes no sense to me! This series s blessed with an outstanding narrator!!!

Same old.

Same old over and over, seriously, if I am 50 books into the series there is no need to explain the characters again.

Narrator, please give up the horribly executed accents! Not every character needs to be defined this way.

Don't waste your money, just re listen to older books.
