It seemed such an innocent deception. All Flora Waring had to do was play the part of Rose, her long-lost twin, for one weekend and meet the family of Rose’s fiancé. But when Flora is introduced to the Armstrong family, she realizes that she has inherited the secret scandal Rose created five years before...and left wounds that turn the man Flora loves against her.

Oliver Dobbs was a writer first and a man second. To him other people were tools. Even though he had broken Victoria Bradshaw’s heart once, when he arrived on her doorstep with a two-year-old son, she found she could not refuse him, and the three of them set out for a castle in Scotland. There, Victoria meets the new laird and finds her crushed spirit awakening.

Description
Celebrate life's journeys with the beloved author whose stories of life and love have touched the world.
As in her worldwide best sellers The Shell Seekers and September, it is the richness of emotional seasons that has made Rosamunde Pilcher's novels beloved the world over. Now she invites listeners into long summer days on the coast of Cornwall - and into the stormy heart of newlywed Laura Haverstock.
Shy, recovering from illness, and away from her husband, Laura's is a fearful heart on the verge of intimate discoveries...about herself, her family, and the source of true love within her.
Voices in Summer speaks gently to the heart, in a voice that is Rosamunde Pilcher at her storytelling best.

Exceedinly Disappointing!
I've loved all of Rosamunde Pilcher's books for decades and own the audiobook cassettes from the late 90's read by Donada Peters. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to add unabridged digital copies to my collection. This narration is appalling though! Another reviewer aptly described Jilly Bond's narration as "shrill." Mrs. Pilcher's novels are beautifully descriptive and usually a peaceful escape. Audible's new version does not do justice to the story and in fact, is so grating I will pull out my old beloved cassettes before listening to this narration again. What a disappointment!

LOVE the author. Detest the narration.
I adore Rosamunde Pilcher!! Her books are magical! This is the 2nd book of hers read by Jilly Bond that I've given up on an returned. the narration is just awful. the voices are forced and often shrill. I physically wince repeated while trying to listen. Oh, well. :(

I thought the performance was charming!
I loved the shell seekers, and really enjoyed enjoyed seeing the character of Noel develop. I had almost avoided this audio after reading some of the scathing reviews of the narration, but I found them completely unjustified. Jilly Bond did a marvelous job!

Love, landscapes, family, gardens
I enjoy Jilly bonds performance of all her Rosamund Pilcher books. She can talk a little too fast sometimes but she does amazing impressions of diverse men and women who Populate these delightful stories.

Rosamunde Pilcher, always calms me
In times of great strife in the world, I always look for a Rosamunde Pilcher book to calm me. Although I prefer her long tomes, I decided to try a short one. This one served the usual purpose spectacularly, and read by Jilly Bond, my favorite narrator of RP’s books.

Loved the Book!
Rosamunde Pilcher is one of my favorite authors! Her descriptions put one right in the middle of the story. I love most of her characters and want to revisit them again and again. There are not many books I read/listen to this often. Jilly Bond is perfection in her narration of the characters. I often look for books just for her narration knowing they will be of the highest quality!

Knocked it out of the park once again
Great story, great performance. Little mystery element to it, while keeping the usual narrative of families and love.
