A bit disappointing for a Nora Roberts

Possibly the narrator ruined this story for me - I didn’t enjoy his voice, it was whiny and his attempt at female voices was pretty awful. The story in itself wasn’t Nora’s best. I normally like her heroines, but Abra struck me as a pushy know-it-all.

If I could have returned this book, I would have, but for some reason it didn’t qualify as a return. A disappointing waste of a credit.

I didn't want it to end

Pay no attention to criticism about narrator's female voices. It just took some time for him to get into the groove, then his performance really shone. And, of course, what can you say about NA - she always over delivers!

Enjoyable enough

I liked the overall storyline and the plot twists.
The narrator did pretty well however,

He cannot do female voices well… many of the women sounded the same. Maybe it was the fault of the accents involved but it was a little cringey at time.

For the story itself, I found that Eli was often childish at the beginning. I learned to like his character more as the story progressed.

I’m a huge fan of Nora roberts, so overall, I enjoyed the book.

I loved this book!

What a wonderful story! At first the narrator’s female voices bothered me but I kept listening. Soon enough he got the hang of it or I just got used to him. I couldn’t stop listening, I was hooked. Thank you for this captivating story.

Great narration!

Luke Daniels has become one of my fave narrators. Really brings the characters lines and moods to life.

Fun Read.

I really enjoyed the story. Nice light mystery with relatable characters. The reader was a bit off on women’s voices so it took me time to look past that. I do recommend this book
