Publisher's Summary

As the Uncrowned King tournament reaches its final rounds, tensions between the competing factions are higher than ever. The outcome may determine the power balance throughout the rest of the world.

Each Monarch schemes to seize any advantage they can...while far away, a Dreadgod stirs.

When the tournament ends, the Dreadgod will rise. Whether it will be driven back into the sea or allowed to rampage depends on the Monarchs.

And on which of them is left standing.

Starts well, ends better

Everyone’s story moves forward, and with some very unexpected developments. I love a tale I can’t predict. This kept my attention so well, it didn’t even occur to me to wonder what would happen next. Thanks Will!

How is it the best one yet?

Damn near speechless. I thought since it was a while since i read the last one my love for the series would have faded. But it was rekindled and burning brighter than ever in the first few minutes. I don't know how he does it, but Will Wight takes what SHOULD be a complicated magic system, and what SHOULD be complicated fights and makes them remarkably easy to follow and visualize. Every tail swipe, every laser beam, every sword slash. The narrator also does a fantastic job at voicing the different characters and their attributes. Will if your reading this, take some time off see some family, celebrate the success of this book, and then PLEASE start the next book. Because until then im unsouled.

Exceptional.

Underlord was good. Blackflame was good.

WINTERSTEEL is on a whole 'nother level. Will knows how to pull on your heart strings, feed you just enough to want more. Throw everything at you, and only then does the image solidify. This was an exceptional entry into the series, has to be my top book for Cradle. I cannot wait to see what happens next . 6/5 , 11/10. Will read again.

Best one so far

This became my new favorite Cradle book. Answers so many questions we all had. It built up to a Sandersonian like crescendo. Amazing

Easily the best book in the series

After Uncrowned I didnt think the next one could top it, but it certainly does so. Incredibly excited for the next one. Travis Baldree as always does a spectacular performance.
