A guy who rejects or breaks up with you should no longer exist in your life. Contacting him or allowing him to stay in touch with you will make you work harder and harder to convince him that you’re worth his love and attention, and it will compel you to play that ugly and unwinnable game called Chase-a-Man. The best way to avoid this ugly game and break his spell over you is to cut the guy off (cease all communications and interactions) for a set period of time, or in some cases, keep him cut off out of your life indefinitely.

Publisher's Summary
Is having 'somebody to love' the most important thing in your life? Do you constantly believe that with 'the right man' you would no longer feel depressed or lonely? Are you bored with 'nice guys' who are open, honest, and dependable? If being in love means being in pain, this book was written for you. Therapist Robin Norwood describes loving too much as a pattern of thoughts and behavior, which certain women develop as a response to problems from childhood.
Many women find themselves repeatedly drawn into unhappy and destructive relationships with men. They then struggle to make these doomed relationships work. This best-selling book takes a hard look at how powerfully addictive these unhealthy relationships are - but also gives a very specific program for recovery from the disease of loving too much.
Editorial Review
For every woman who longs for true love and happiness but always seems to choose the wrong man, Women Who Love Too Much shows how to break the addiction to unhealthy relationships. For some women, a relationship is like an addiction. These women can lose control of the situation and of their well-being in the pursuit of love. Author Robin Norwood states that this type of woman will, without fail, gravitate towards men who are anything but boring. These men might be troubled, angry, elusive, or simply emotionally unavailable. However, it’s the woman who feels she must fix things, and like a drug addict, cannot step away when the relationship turns sour. Ellen Archer, who narrates this Audible audiobook, is a talented and acclaimed professional. Her other works include Sleeping Women by Haruki Murakami and Smashed by Koren Zailckas. Her narration of Women Who Love Too Much is warm, calm, and engaging. Her clear voice carries the stories and themes with a compassionate and emotive style. Norwood, a licensed therapist by trade, didn’t just create this title due to the countless women she has helped over the years–she created it because she used to be one of them. By listening to her audiobook, she hopes women will learn to love themselves sufficiently, break their addiction, and take back control over their relationships.

Self discovery and new insight that can save my life!
Wasn’t expecting how much insights im drawing from this book. At the beginning when the story of several clients talked about their “sad love story”, I was still in a mindset thinking “ya us poor ladies”. Halfway thru when she starts to dive deep into why these women (also implying myself) are experiencing such hard relationships. She sharply points out what is “wrong” with us women and how we can change and save ourselves. Codependent is not a pure victim- we all did our parts to end up in bad places. After listening to the audiobook, I’m buying a hardcopy to scribble down things and work on myself!
