 F1 was remarkably cinematic and featured a captivating story with entertaining, though somewhat exaggerated, characters. Although I'm not a racing enthusiast, I was intrigued by the buzz surrounding this film, described as 'epic even for non-fans.' I genuinely enjoyed watching it, but I don't believe it breaks new ground, and it has its flaws. To start, the movie is lengthy, and its duration is noticeable, especially in the middle. Some scenes in the second act seem overly extended and repetitive. I appreciate a good, long film, but it must not waste my time. The protagonist, portrayed by Brad Pitt, is overly complex, and many aspects of his character lead nowhere. Brad Pitt also comes off as quite stiff. The poor guy should consider retiring if he’s going to deliver performances like this. However, this stiffness somewhat fits a character meant to be a washed-up lunatic. While the film falters in these areas, it compensates with stunning cinematography and an engaging rivalry between the two main characters.
