Our American Correspondent Peter joins us today as he has selected the subject of our Deep Dive episode. John Carpenter has had a huge impact in the film industry especially the horror genre with not only creating the most important and famous slasher horror movie Halloween, but also the creator of the chilling soundtrack. We talk through his personal life, early profession career and a selection of his greatest movies and what he has influenced.

We discuss behind the scenes stories on movie sets and when Kev and Marina briefly worked together on a couple of film projects. Marina talks about her passion for the job, as well as the pressures that also come in this high paced industry, alongside the difficulty faced and overcome of often being the only female in the crew which has changed over the last 10 years. Her main role is the Focus Puller which is a highly skilled and critical job, as errors in focus can be expensive to reshoot. We discuss how to get into the industry and how important this role is for the overall feel and visual language of any movie. We also look into her fun fashion sense and the satisfaction and benefits that working in the movie industry provides.

We start by discussing the top 10 animated sitcoms as rated by someone random or maybe Keith. James is tired and wants to end the record so we all keep finding new topics to discuss to annoy him which works pretty well as he perks up when we give him the limelight. We also discuss Movie sequels that killed off the franchise which prompts some impressions you may recognise if you have heard earlier episodes.

The film the world is talking about this and even the toughest critics are giving it 5 star reviews. It already has an Oscar buzz relating to every aspect from acting, directing, picture, cinematography and score. We have a few different opinions but we all loved it in different ways. We discuss everything in this 3 part action, drama with comedy elements from the box office results, interesting information on the actors and delving deep into the story and our opinions on how the plot unfolds with the character developments and arcs. Shout Outs and Show & Tell as normal with a side helping of some exciting Movie News. The cinema hasn't had much out that interests us recently so we discuss some films we have seen streaming. We also reminisce on comedy TV shows we grew up on and unfortunately for the listener we attempted some impressions of the classic characters. Kev is excited to tell the guys about the band and new movie called 'Kneecap' which is exciting as it is funny and urges them to watch it.

We have Drew back with us, hopefully for good this time. We start with some classic Show & Tell, leading into movie news discussing Blade, Spiderman and Christopher Nolan. We have an update on the Emmanuel Bonami situation which gives us a lot of joy. We discussed a couple of movies we watched this week; on Netflix 'Woman of the Hour' and 'Venom: The Last Dance' at the cinema. Drew has then created a horror quiz for us with music sections which is a close call but who will win? We end discussing the greatest Horrors of 2024 and of all time.

Both of today's guests have had some of the most listened to and watched of any of our previous episodes and we are having them both on together. Kate is a regular guest and especially loved episode 48 where Emma first joined us as a guest, opening us up to a deeper conversation than movies and into mental health.

Today we discuss a whole host of subjects having fun along the way but delving into important subjects and including a meditation at the end.
