This week, we will be observing Self-Harm Awareness Day on 1st March. It seemed fitting to reshare a podcast that we recorded last year - The F Files - Cutting Deep.

The purpose of the day is to inform people about self-harm/self-injury to help break stigma and normalise people sharing their experience and seeking help. Self-harm is a topic that often isn’t approached due to a lack of knowledge and preconceptions. This month's podcast challenges the myths around self-harm and gets into those gritty issues no one talks about.

We discuss self-harm in custody, not only around how this can be managed, but separating out the opinions from fact and challenging those barriers to treatment and recovery and how we give support to drive an attitude of moving from harm to hope.
