The New Testament book of Hebrews is one of my favorite books in the Bible because it gives us a framework through which we can understand the Old Testament. I have also included Paul's letter to the Galatians since it directly deals with how the New Covenant extends to people from every tribe and nation and unites everyone in Christ Jesus.

Some people believe questioning the Bible, the direction God is going, or even God himself, is blasphemy. Some think it’s a sign of disbelief. Daniel Thornton is one such man. The God of the Old Testament commanded and endorsed many practices that we find morally reprehensible today. High on the list was the institution of slavery, which features prominently in several sections of the Hebrew Bible. Fathers could sell their daughters into slavery; masters could beat their slaves; creditors could carry off children for failure to repay a debt; and foreigners could be kept for life, passed down as inherited property. Hebrews is about persevering in the faith. Written concerning the Jewish Christians, this letter serves as a reminder that Christ is superior to priests, angels, and the old covenant laws. His sacrifice is once for all unlike the sacrificial system.

We have the proof. Satan caused great evil on earth. We have come to know him as the personification of all evil.

The Epistle to the Hebrews is traditionally attributed to Paul the Apostle. It is a letter urging Christians to persevere in the face of persecution rather than to doubt the validity of Jesus.... This book is beautifully voiced by The Bible Reading Collective....
