चारशे वर्षांपूर्वी संत कवी तुलसीदासांनी अवधी भाषेमध्ये हनुमान चालीसाची रचना केली. देवदत्त पट्टनायकांनी यातील दोह्यांची आणि चौपाईंची मांडणी अत्यंत सोप्या शब्दांत केली. संगीतबद्ध रूपातील हे दोहे हनुमानासंबंधी पौराणिक ज्ञान, ऐतिहासिक तथ्यं आणि रहस्यं यांवर प्रकाश टाकते.

या गीतामध्ये भगवान विठ्ठलसाठी पंढरपूरला जाणा-या यात्रेकरूंची कथा आहे.

“The Iliad“ is an epic poem by the ancient Greek poet Homer, which recounts some of the significant events of the final weeks of the Trojan War and the Greek siege of the city of Troy (which was also known as Ilion, Ilios or Ilium in ancient times). Written in the mid-8th Century BCE, “The Iliad" is usually considered to be the earliest work in the whole Western literary tradition, and one of the best known and loved stories of all time.

The epic follows his fourteen-year exile to the forest urged by his father King Dasharatha, on the request of Rama's stepmother Kaikeyi. He traveled across forests in the Indian subcontinent with his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana. Rama endured the kidnapping of Sita by Ravana–the demon king of Lanka, which resulted in a great war; and Rama's eventual return to Ayodhya to be crowned king amidst jubilation and celebration. The

Beowulf the Warrior is an outstanding modern version of the oldest epic in the English language. Manas ka hans is a brilliant attempt to bring forth the life of Goswami Tulsidas. The novel is an attempt to address the complications of religion through Tulsidas while portraying him as a person who was afflicted with all the virtues and vices known to human beings. How Tulsidas finds Shri Ram is a question that the author answers in a fashion that can only be termed brilliant, for lack of better word. The best thing about the work is that it doesn't attempt to glorify any God or deity but simply tries to go into the mind of the devotee - Tulsidas, in this case.
