When Mr. Darcy’s sister arrives, she and Lizzy become fast friends, but Lizzy’s acrimony with Darcy threatens everything, especially when she overhears him condemning Jane as a grasping social climber without true regard for Bingley. This time a novella featuring all your favorite characters mixed up in a truly Gothic mystery complete with villains, rescued beauties, treasure and a secret society of terrible aspirations. Baron Balfour, a great giant of a man, and his new wife, who used to be Euphemia Fleet, a put-upon companion, are on their honeymoon in France when the baroness spots a villainous looking individual, just like her idea of a character from a Gothic novel. He is in the company of a frightened young beauty and Euphemia decides to rescue her.

Lizzy and Darcy are on their honeymoon in Bath, when her mother and Kitty show up to surprise them. They have hardly recovered from that shock, before they find a dead body in the women’s changing room. The waters at Bath might heal, but they can’t solve the mystery of who killed Lady Longe, or why they desired the cantankerous old woman’s death.
