It is such a pity that Richard Wagamese did not live long enough to finish this wonderful manuscript with its stories indirect teachings and direct explanations of the seven grandfather teachings of the Ojibwe. The three sections that he did finish are well read/delivered by Christian Baskous.

Fabulous wise, informative, inspiring, beautifully written book!

Robin wall Kimmerer has an immense amount of understanding of plants *and* human nature! Not only has Braiding Sweetgrass enormously expanded my understanding of indigenous ways, and of The complexity and intricacy of plant behaviour, but she has a warm, comforting and evocative reading voice. I’ve listened to this book dozens of times, and keep finding New insights, challenges and wisdom.

I listen to audiobooks because I have such difficulty reading, and this book is extraordinarily moving. I’ve cried several times, which further impedes my eyesight 😭, but he is a genius storyteller and a really good speaker/voice to tell his own stories. I salute how he shares many Wise people’s words and helps us all to believe that we are “clothed in God‘s goodness.“ (The words of Julian of Norwich) not only is father Greg Boyle wise, but he’s funny, and so are his “homeboys.“

How much we all need this kind of rest!

Inspiring, thought-provoking, wise, and also educational — Wayne Muller has brought together many ideas and practises from friends, family, faith groups, cultures, and perhaps especially from Spirit. This is a short book, punctuated with silences and lovely music, and I will read it again and again… A.k.a. listen to it! I want to appreciate and honour the Sabbath, whenever I can manage to make it happen in fuller ways than I ever understood before.

To read and reread!

I love BBT’s voice as she reads, and I love the way her thoughts and her curiosity about our attitude to the dark lead her through so many fascinating explorations of the dark. I have savoured this book repeatedly!
